Had a great day at the skywalk, although it was raining it really didn’t change anything, the provided umbrellas, the clouds look amazing in the mountains and the staff there were very friendly and helpful.

Nice wall thru the rain forest and tree tops. John and lyn where great and very informative. Easy grade tracks to walk on. Great view from the top

Beautiful walk in the rainforest and along the skywalk and up the tower. The views are amazing and it's definitely well worth the trip up the 100 stairs of the tower.
Staff were very helpful.
Tips: Be prepared to walk and take insect repellent. March Flies were really bad.

The staff at the entrance were extremely helpful, giving a lot of information about the walk and advising us to use their complimentary insect repellent, a very useful hint. The walk was quite easy with plenty of information and accessible to all. The views from the various vantage points is spectacular and well worth seeing. The information about the indigenous people and the shelter they built for display was very interesting.

Fantastic spot to take an easy walk through the rainforest, listening to the free audio tour including traditional and European history. Kid friendly and a small selection of souvenirs and toys to choose from. Thank you to the man welcoming guests at the front shelter, he is very friendly and genuine, with great knowledge of the area.

I'll be honest, this place wasn't for me. And unless you're into Ecology or never walked on a Skywalk before I wouldn't recommend it either.
I think it's over priced and it's just a bushwalk on private land (hence the entrance fee).
If you're solely going because (like me) you thought the focus would be more on the skywalk itself with wonderful views, don't. Your only view is at the end, on the tower. I will say it's exactly 100 stairs to the top and yes I counted them lol
Apart from the tower, it's all wheelchair accessible. Obviously don't go if you're scared of heights or even if you don't like see through stairs as 'the steps are like a grill like structure (see pics).
I was there an hour 20 and that was including a toilet trip, a chat with 2 staff members Claire & I've forgotten the other ladies name sorry (both lovely) and a few stops for photos. If you are a Flora and Fauna then this is the place for you.
You might be lucky enough to see the resident Cassowary.

The entry here is discounted if you buy your ticket in conjunction with Paronella Park. Essentially you walk along a track through the rain forest and then onto a cantilever over a valley and then along a steel walkway high over the ground along the forest top and finally climb a very high tower for great views. It sounds ordinary but it is excellent. There is much interpretive material providing interesting information. The walk takes a good hour. It obviously involves heights and a few kilometres of walking.

Brilliant. The best skywalk I've been too. The whole thing is well built and super well organized. Friendly and helpful staff. Spectacular views from the skywalk, cantilever, and tower. The walking guide app is great. Learned a lot. Don't miss this.

Was a very lovely experience and got to see some amazing views but wasn’t able to use the resources on site due to the internet being down. A special shout-out to Mike who was so passionate and welcomed us to the skywalk in a very friendly manner! Definitely made a difference!

I would like to know the names of some of the taller mountains you can see from the tower view point 37m up

The two largest mountains you can see from the Observation Tower are Mt Bartle Frere (the highest mountain in Queensland) and Mt Bellenden Ker (the second highest!).

It’s $14 for children aged 4-14. There are family packages for 2 adults and 2 kids or 2 adults and three kids too.

Is there any bus that makes the connection between Cairns and Mamu Tropical Skywalk and between Mamu Tropical Skywalk and Mission beach ?

Hello,
There isn't currently a direct bus transfer between Cairns, the Mamu Tropical Skywalk, and Mission Beach.
There are however some bus tours that depart Cairns and include the Mamu Tropical Skywalk in their itinerary.
Links are not permitted here, but you can look up GTS Cairns, or Cairns Tablelands Tours, to see if the services they provide are of use to you.

Thank you for your question. There is an admission charge, and a full list of prices can be found under the "things to know" section of our website.
A ticket includes admission, a guide booklet and map, and the use of our self guided audio system. We also have binoculars available to borrow at no extra charge.
Allow at least 1 1/2 hours for a visit.
