I took the kids for a day out at Sunshine plaza.
We started with a trip to Timezone where the kids enjoyed 2 hours of fun at the arcade.
We then sat and had lunch by the riverside, watching the fish jumping up from the water as the paddle boat riders fed them.
We done some shopping before having a splash in the fountain and heading home.
The kids decided next time they would like to give the high ropes course a go as it looked like a nice challenge!
FYI: Free parking when you spend over $150 in any stores. Show receipts at CSD to validate parking 😀

We last visited Sunshine Plaza pre the latest renovations and it is now so much better. All the major retailers in the one location with David Jones, Myers, Big W, Kmart and Target all the under the one roof. Lots of specialty stores all under the one roof. Plenty of good choices after a bit of shopping. Will visit again next time when on the Sunshine Coast.

Without doubt the worst meal and experience ever,
The so called snitty night advertised at $9.95.( see photo) turned out to be $21 as you had to buy a drink even though i had already bought one .Absolutely a modern day rip off.To cap it all the snitzel was tasteless and small and i could only eat half of it.No good complaining nicely the waitress just walked away .This without doubt was the very worst experience on the coast .
Now get this the further hidden costs
1 Credit card fee 1.5%
2 Extra cost Monday to Saturday
3 External fee on the table app for ordering 1.5%
Hard to believe isint it ???

Sunshine Plaza is a one-stop shopping and entertainment destination. The centre is designed to take advantage of the canals and on a good day, it was lovely and cool.
Great indoor place for escaping the heat, mind the 3hour free parking limit, if your visit turns out to be a whole day affair.
We went there for lunch at the Riverside Walk a couple of times; that is, if you want something other than fast food from the food courts.
Waka Sushi was a good choice.
Not sure how busy and crowded over the summer, but it was very pleasant and relaxed when we visited.

This two storey retail shopping centre originally opened in 1980 but has undergone several redevelopments and expansions since then, the latest I understand having been completed in 2019.
There are now over 340 shops and 12 cinemas. The shops include all of the big names including Woolworths, Coles, David Jones, Myer, Big W, Target, JB Hi Fi, H & M and many more. It is easy to be overwhelmed and, notwithstanding the signage, become a little disorientated.
I understand how this could be a good place to spend a couple of hours when the weather is bad or on very hot days.
However as shopping does not appeal to me I take comfort from the fact that I should be able to buy whatever I need, given the range and number of shops on offer, so in and out as quickly as I can.

Food was some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten, chicken was raw and noodles were dry. Would not recommend unless you want food poisoning

Yes the facilities are wheel chair friendly.
