‪My husband purchased a 600.00 gift card for me in March of 2023. He did it electronically. I booked two massages throughout the year each leaving a balance on the gift card.
My last visit I asked the balance and they told me. They also told me I would not need to keep track of the balance that they would do that on my account.
Today I called and they said the last GC they showed was for 150. I said that is not correct and he kept looking, He came back and said he found the original gift card purchase of 600.00 and told me my balance. He then proceeded to tell me to write down the gift card number as that would be how they could find it. I said "isn't it noted on my account like I was told it would be"? He said "no". And again, told me to write the gift card number down. I explained I didn't want to have to keep a piece of paper just to use the balance on the gift card. He continued to tell me to write the gift card number down. I asked him if he carried random pieces of paper on him for a year so he could claim his gift card amount, when i was told very specifically it would be on my account the last time I was in. If I was going to be in sometime in the next month I might have been willing to write down the gift card number, but I hadn't been in in 6 months and I would have no idea where I would place a piece of paper with a gift card number on it. Ridiculous that they would expect me to. If they send the gift card electronically (to my husband, for me) they should be able to track it somehow.‬

‪Worst embarrassing experience ever, I was told to leave cause I had a vape an was under the influence.. Was told to leave because I was “under the influence” vape is at worst nicotine, to make matters worse mine was not even nicotine I wasn’t under any influence, I have had a stressful week I’m tired an wanted to relax, she then said I was vaping an it’s illegal indoors to vape. I didn’t see any signs that said that an no one said a thing when I was walking in to the elevator or being told directions, had it in my hand the whole time. I didn’t receive a notice that has it in the rules, I had to pay for a sitter, drove almost an hour in a thunderstorm, an got all the way undressed an naked laying on the massage bed and waited for 10 mins then pulled to the side an told by the GM Kelly
That the services can’t be performed on someone who’s under the influence.. As I’m walking out I said this is crazy coming around the corner am I see Kelly an the worker laughing. I feel discriminated against idk if she knows me or what but I don’t know of someone ever being told to leave for a vape, no one told me I wasn’t allowed an when she informed me of this I said I didn’t know or I wouldn’t have but was still made to leave an extremely embarrassed, vapes are not drugs an made for indoors last I checked, Kelly also told me it’s against the law to vape indoors, when I told her that’s not true she then said well it’s against the law here, I have had some health issues an came here to release some stress an get my mind off it an it’s made it 10 Xs more worse.. I have severe depression and anxiety, I was so embarrassed I had to sit in my car for 15 mins to calm down, and when I asked for someone else to reach out to Kelly told me there is no one else only her as she smiled an walked away..‬

We apologize for any confusion. We have been open for 13-years and have asked very few guests to leave. When a guest does not comply when asked to stop vaping they are asked to leave. Ohio's Smoke Free Workplace Act, implemented in 2006, requires places of employment and public places to be smoke free, including vaping. Additionally, our therapists are not allowed to perform services on anyone that they believe is at all impaired. This was the situation with your visit to the spa. I apologize if the situation was at all uncomfortable, but we create an environment that is relaxing and safe for all of our guests.

‪I got my mother a Balanced Body Massage for Christmas. We decided to have a spa day on Feb 24th. At checkout, my mother was charged extra for her massage because she had requested firmer pressure. So the therapist upgraded her to a deep tissue massage without my mother’s consent.

I decided to call the following day to talk about the unnecessary charge however wasn’t able to get a hold of the manager. It then took me 5 days of calling with no response or call back. I ended up emailing the general manager, Kelly Jacobs, on Friday 3/3. The manager had no interest in rectifying this situation but instead, placed the blame on the customer. It comes down to communication. I have never been charged for a service I didn’t request. If a client wants deeper pressure then the therapist should say it is an additional add-on fee. If that were communicated as an upgrade, I know for certain my mother would not have opted for it, knowing the service was a Christmas gift. She simply thought the therapist was giving her the choice of firmer pressure.

Rather than reassuring me how this will be a learning opportunity for the Woodhouse therapists to be clear with service upgrades and/or credit me the difference, they’d prefer to lose future business. The fact that I am still dealing with this over a week later is inconvenient and distressing.‬

‪I have been a long time customer of Woodhouse and typically love all of my experiences until this past week. When my friend and I arrived, we were told we couldn't enter the spa until 10 minutes before our apt time, this was not told to us at the time of booking and we specifically asked if we could arrive about 30 minutes early and have a drink prior to our apt. I had an 80 minute massage that was more like 65 minutes, as I sat in the massage room for about 10 minutes prior to my service starting. I also was not offered a robe and had to change out of my clothes for the massage and then back into them for a pedicure, only to see all the other customers walking around in robes. Why was I not offered this?
Then had an agave-Nectar pedicure, but was not given the agave-nectar treatment, but still paid for this.
Overall, I felt that I had been taken advantage of, paid for services I didn't receive and wasn't offered the same things as other customers. There are other great spas in this area, I would recommend going to one of those instead. This spa didn't seem at all interested in providing a good experience for customers.‬

‪I had been a long time customer of the Woodhouse Day Spa, until last week! I had scheduled an 80 minute service, but when I arrived at the Spa, I was told it was a 50 minute service. When I got upstairs, I specifically asked my Service Provider how long the service was. She said 80 minutes. When I checked out, I paid for the service and left. Twenty minutes after I left I received a call from the Woodhouse stating they charged me for a 50 minute service and they needed to add onto my charge card to cover an 80 minute service. I had assumed the desk and the service provider would have gotten the correct information and I was charged adequately. When I wrote to the General Manager, Kelly, and explained that it was not my fault that the service provider didn't contact the front desk to give them the correct information about the amount of time of the service, I received back a response from Kelly. She said she was told by the front desk and the service provider for my service that I asked her to change my appointment from a 50 minute to an 80 minute. NOT ONCE did I ask the service provider to change it to an 80 minute, because when I asked her how long the service was, she already said it was 80 minutes!!! The disconnect was between the front desk and the provider. ‬

‪First visit to Woodhouse. Have heard a lot about the spa so was excited for the experience. Let’s start with the good - treatments were very good. The therapists were knowledgeable and personable. I was very satisfied with my facial and massage. The waiting room was inviting and large with snacks and always an offer of beverages. People were very nice.
Now the less than part - the reception area could be a relaxing environment but I could see the storage area, boxes on top of shelving, etc. After that start, you’re shown to the changing room that might comfortably accommodate maybe three people tops but at one point there were 10 women and staff crammed into the space - way too cramped. No benches and only one true changing room (otherwise you have to go into the restroom to change so if one had to use the restroom there was a line). It’s way too small of a space for the number of clients. Suggest they move, expand or renovate as I left frustrated (especially after the relaxing treatments).
At checkout, my gift card had gratuity included but that wasn’t mentioned, so I added (another) gratuity. Hmmm. Okay as I know the staff work hard but that’s not professional.
Lots of potential here but I think it needs some new thinking or fresh eyes.‬

‪I picked this place as recommendation from a friend. It is Nicky done and everyone was friendly. We did hot stone massage, pedicures and facial. We came there right at the time of the appointment. So massage felt little rushed but after that the pace slowed down and it was relaxing. Staff always made sure we had everything we needed. We were lucky to park right in front but we didn’t know there is a actually parking in the back. ‬

‪Tried to get a quick afternoon much needed getaway relaxing spa experience. We were greeted immediately and politely. However, when we went upstairs it was a cramped space. The men and women locker rooms were small and if someone was using the sink or putting on make-up, they were exposed to all if the door was opened. The facials were nice but still rushed. Not a relaxing experience. Then when the facials were completed, we had to go back to the waiting room to go to ANOTHER massage room. Why couldn't the technicians come to us in ONE room instead of us moving? Then when the massage started at 10 minutes after the hour and ended at 50 minutes to the hour. So a 60 minute massage was only 40 minutes. When the massage was going about 85% of it was spent on the neck which was not the area marked nor discussed previously. The areas needing attention were HARDLY touched. The entire experience felt RUSHED. For over $600 for less than two hours of treatments, it was way overpriced and rushed. I would not recommend the spa for future treatments. Plus, the food and beverages offered in the waiting areas were quite lacking. For the price, the spa needs to step up its game.‬

‪Attended The Woodhouse Spa with family as on vacation to the states from UK. We had booked a package of manicure, pedicure and massage at $160. I couldn’t have a manicure as I have acrylic nails so was offered a facial instead and told I’d have to pay for my treatments separately but wasn’t given a choice of facials or prices. At the end of the day my bill (with tip) came to $382!!!! I laid and left, in shock. The other family members were charged $190 and had to argue and show proof they had been quoted $160 to get a refund of $30 each. The following day I rang the spa as I had done some research on the treatments they offer. I had been given the normal massage but they had replaced the pedicure with an upgraded (more expensive) one and they had given me the most expensive facial - despite the fact that they actually had on offer a package containing these three treatments which was healer then the three separate treatments. My step-mum spoke to a manager, Sarah, who was less than helpful so when I rang I refused to speak to her and got put through to another, then a third manager (how many managers ARE there??) After a lot of discussion I was offered a $32 refund - useless when you take into account the exchange rate for currency and the fact I get charged for every non—GBP transaction. Finally they offered $76 which I accepted, despite the fact I would only actually get around $65 after charges. I really feel that they saw an opportunity to take advantage of me and took it. They couldn’t explain why ueybhdnt offered me the package and also couldn’t explain why they had upgraded the pedicure and given me the most expansive facial. Will never be going back and neither will any of my extensive family (who live in Columbus) or any of their friends. Shocking load of shysters!!‬

‪I reviewed this spa 2 years ago after having been a dozen times. At this point I’ve probably been to the Woodhouse 3x that and I felt compelled to re-review after my last 2 visits.

The last 2 times I went, once for manicure and once for 80 min deep tissue were not up to the standards I had previously experienced. The services were not bad, but just “fine.” Unfortunately I’m no longer going to pay those prices and drive 45 min out of my way for an average experience.

Also, there is no steam room or sauna or way to eat there so you really are just going for an appointment not an experience.

In my opinion the Woodhouse is an average spa in the Columbus area that I used to think was exceptional.‬
