This place is more of a temple complex. There are many small temples inside comprised within the building. You could easily spend at least 1-2 hours there just exploring and admiring the intricate details. Photography is not allowed inside.

This is one of the best temple in Kullu. I have visited this temple with my foreigners friends. The atmosphere is so amazing. I recommend to all visit this temple.

If your going to Manali or returning from Manali beautiful temple located at Kullu beside Beas river. This is not a just a temple for Maa Vaishno Devi but over all most all Hindu goddess. You need to climb 2nd floor from where you yatra start with entering into cave to seek blessing from Maa Durga. Then there are arrow mark to guide the yatra path , just follow it and you will cover beautiful temple , mesmerizing temple architecture along with blessing of various Hindu goddess like, Lod Ram, Lord Hanuman, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shani Dev, Lord Shankar, Lord Krishna, Devi Lakshmi etc. Just follow path and you will complete your whole yatra. It take approx an hr only.
Once you completes your yatra it ends up in a small shopping store. As advisory do not shop there as rate are bit higher side. Same product you will get outside in less price.
At 1st floor there is langar you can enjoy prasad bhoj also.
Picture tokening is not allowed inside temple. But once you complete your yatra then outside temple beside river Beas you can take as many picture you want.
In Kullu this is must visit place apart from river rafting. Otherwise in Kullu there is nothing to see apart from river rafting and Vaishno Devi Temple.
Once you completes your yatra it ends up in a small shopping store. As advisory do not shop there as rate are bit higher side. Same product you will get outside in less price.

There have been many improvements but cleanliness is needed. Rules in place for pithu, pony etc, stroller available for kids.

We visited this temple as part of our manali tour and its very good and bus temple. You have go by creeping to see matha.

Commonly known as Mahadevi Tirth, Vaishno Devi temple in Kullu is situated on the banks of Beas river.
The renowned Vaishno Devi temple is located at a distance of 2 km from the beautiful town of Kullu, right on the way to Manali. Devotees travelling to this side of Himachal Pradesh are likely to get smitten by the sprawling forests, apple orchards and majestic hills that happen to come on their way.
this place will give you the feel of a ‘Mini Vaishno Devi’ trip! All temples here are multi-storied, and Lord Shiva temple is well placed between the Mountain. The main temple that appears like a cave is beautifully carved inside with life facility. But visitors are required to crawl inside it.
As a part of temple’s service, the trust of the pilgrim center runs a ‘Laanger’ and ‘Saraye’ service which provides free vegetarian meal and night stay to the worshippers.
Best Time to Visit: Morning, Afternoon, Evening

Recommended Hours: Min. 2 hours

I've been to kullu and Manali a few times and never visited the temple before as it looks nothing like a temple from outside. This time the family decided to visit and it was a good decision. It is a multi storey temple and a beautiful one because the mein deity place is inside the natural Rocky cave like structure. There is a big souvenir shop and also a book shop. The campus is clean and well maintained. There is lovely conventional woodwork at places which is marvelous in its own sense.

The temple is on the third floor of the building. There is a beautiful scenery. You have to take more stairs.

what is the temple timings to visit

In the evening till 6pm and then it opens after pooja.
It is closed for pooja even in the morning. You can confirm on shrine board website
