‪Ancient temple of Goddess Durga. The temple was tried to damaged by muslim rulers from medieval India. But what important is that it is still worthwhile to visit this temple.
This temple comes under Archaeological survey of India (ASI).‬

‪This temple can be reached by climbing an endless number of stairs, 108 of them to be precise. It is equally hard climbing down. However, there are railings on the side that help while climbing up and down the stairs. I wouldn't recommend it to evryone though.
If you manage the steep climb you will be richly rewarded. It has a beautiful circular shape with statues of 64 yoginis all surrounding the central temple of Shiva. The carvings are intricate and remind one of Khajuraho‬

‪108 stairs which was a tough amount to climb but we enjoyed the temple. Rare image of Shiva and Parvati inside the main temple. But sad to see the amazing images of the yoginis broken.‬

‪A very unique and very nice temple. The temple is so old but has not lost its charm. It’s painful to see how these beautiful temples were damaged by muslim rulers‬

‪This place is one of my favorites in the marble rock city of Jabalpur. The temple depicts the rare occasion of lord Shiva's marriage with goddess Parvati. It is surrounded with statues of 64 goddesses who had come to attend the wedding ceremony of Parvati. It is a historical delight to see this archaeological heritage site.
Only regret is that (like in most of North India) all the statues have been damaged by the Mogul emperor Aurangzeb.
But still it is a must see in Jabalpur. Please note that it is a gusrded & protected site, and hence be careful about the timings (10am to 5.00pm). Also be prepared to climb approx 100 steep steps.‬

‪The Chausath Yogini Temple in Jabalpur is located near the Dhuandhar Falls in Bhedaghat and is one of the oldest heritage sites in India. Built in the 10th century AD by the Kalachuri kings, the temple bears a distinct resemblance to the Khajuraho temples. We visited this temple during our recent trip to Dhuandhar Falls and Bhedaghat.
The temple on a hill top and accessed by a long flight of over 150 steps. It looks beautiful in the winter sun. The sanctum sanctorum has the idols of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati mounted on the divine bull Nandi. It is said that this is the depiction of the wedding of Lord Shiva. No other temple to my knowledge has this idol. Moreover, the divine bull which is normally outside a Shiv temple is inside the shrine and the housing of the bull outside the temple is empty.
The temple complex consists of 95 shrines which includes 64 Yoginis in circular fashion around the temple. The design of the temple has been kept simple but the idols of yoginis are exquisitely carved, each one depicting a unique posture.
The temple is partially damaged by muslim invaders, most of the Yogini figurines have been disfigured, but the exquisite carvings bring out the beauty.
The temple is a must visit if one is interested in temples and is around Jabalpur.‬

‪It's a beautiful temple near Marble Rocks, Bhedaghat. You need to climb around 100 stairs to reach this temple. There is a priest who can help you in doing puja else you can pray also. From this temple you can view Narmada river down below. A very quiet and peaceful place worth visiting.‬
