Great for taking a long nature walk, there's gravel road along the lake, though you cant see the lake. There is a small train ride available too. Indian Coffee House is also there, though their service is super slow.

I dont know why people give false information about a place. Based on these reviews people visit this place which is nothing but a wastage of time. Its even an insult to call it a natural reserve. i went to this place seeing these revierws but just wasted 2 hours of time and not finding anything to do. Definitely a no visit for people travelling to Jabalpur. On the top of that, this place is an embarrassment if you are traveling with your family as this is just a spot for couples who do all sorts of rubbish there.

The worst national park I have ever visited I will never and ever suggest you to visit it, no animals nothing at all only forest and that's all

Went there during a cloudy day and did cycling. It was a delightful experience. One must surely try it. The trail is beautiful and lush green.

Dumna Natural park is out of Jabalpur city. You can reach there from your own vehicle. Natural beauty is great.

Dumna Nature Park is one of the best places you can visit to enjoy nature, bird watching and just to relax. They also have a Bicycle track. Would suggest to avoid holiday time and weekends. Only issue is people visiting do not care and litter around.
It is a bird watchers paradise and even spotted deer and other minor wildlife can be seen at times. Had heard that Leopard also visits at times but we were not lucky enough to spot one.
If you are at Jabalpur and love Birding do visit.

Dumna Nature Reserve Park is located on the airport road in Jabalpur. This 1000+ hectare park has a reservoir, a dam, forests and wildlife. The animals housed in the park are the chital deer, wild boar, porcupines, jackals and varied species of birds. The reservoir also houses crocodiles. Leopards too have been sighted in the park.
We visited the park during our recent trip to Jabalpur and were enthralled with the facilities and attractions which have been created in the park. There exist a children's enclosure, a restaurant, hanging bridge, tent platform, rest house, fishing platform and toy train. In addition there is a cycling track and cycles are available on hire.
The Khandari reservoir which is in the centre of the park does not permit swimming due to the presence of crocodiles.
The Khandari Dam is a spill-type dam constructed by J.H. Morris, Chief Commissioner of Central Provinces in 1863. Water used to be supplied to Jabalpur city from this dam.
The area close to the dam has a great number of medicinal trees and bushes which are labelled.
Overall the park is a must visit.

The visit wasn't fruitful as no animals and birds were sited all had gone underground as there was much noise by the construction activity going on there although the lake and toy train was beautiful.

They provide good services but very rare to find the animal and no tour guide to direct you to the places .there is facilities of restaurant.and also children play area.but lake need to improve the services.

Dumna Nature Reserve is a very small area of reserve forest that is open to the public. There is also a MP tourism restaurant inside the park. We had been here in the afternoon and sighted peacocks and deer.

Pet dogs not allowed inside park but you can left them outside park, don't worry about there security.
I would like to visit dumna Natura reserve park. I want to know the open and closing time.

Every day 9.30 to 6 pm . Its open
If going with friends and family then sunday 11 am is the best time as then you will find little crowd and food services ready.. also the toytrain start at that time only..
