We rented really excellent E-bikes from Cycling Kreta where we had a very good contact with Stelios. He is very reactive, fast contacts through e-mail, clear appointment to deliver the bikes. Cycling Creta has also a very good map of the Central part of Creta. Thanks a lot, Stelios ! We had a really good time cycling around !

Catastrophic!
We exchanged emails to reserve our bikes, we were told 100 euros if we came to pick up the bikes directly from their premises (far from the center).
When we get there, we are told 140 euros ! 40% increase!
No way... We came back our flat.

we exhange emails and we said we have e-bikes from 30-45 euro. we made you an offer to come from the bike center to collect the bikes (5 euros for each bike). You came at the bike center but you wanted the best bike Cube reaction Hybrid with 750wh battery for 25euro. You wanted 20euro discount instead of 5. Because you were VERY AGGRESIVE and RUDE the kid at the bike center was scared and offred you better price 15euro discount. Even so you was not satisfied and you wanted 25 euros for the bike.
It was better that you did not used our bikes.
We do not accept this kind of behiviour.

Update
One day after the evaluation my wife was called a liar by the mech. and threatened with the police, instead of 3*** there is only 1*, The evaluation was not bad as such, but after all it is now....... ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!! If you don't give 5****** here you have fire under the roof....Of course they will make us a LIAR!!!! Of course, on another visit here, we will avoid this shop like the devil the holy water...... I hate to give 1* reviews, but, here it was definitely necessary, unfortunately.....
We rented for today 23.Oct 2 Cube e-bike for 80Euros (about as expensive as in Switzerland) We cycled to the Crete Aquarium and the Dinopark, hardly driven away at the Dinopark jammed the chain, as it had flown out anyway...Then it was 6km pushing bike.....Once at the bike rental....it was said that we can not ride bikes even though we both have a powerer at home and cycle 7000km per year ....Well, statement from me these are new bikes.....Yes exactly with1000 and 3500km new... Yes as new but not new 😂😂. He just said we could have made a phone call....right we did, but if you don't know exactly where you are in the pampas, no tel. Call....OK, he still offered us, the next day again, to rent the e-bike at a cheaper rate, but we have other plans, and also push the snout full after 6km. I was not convinced and I recommend this bike rental only conditionally....

You came to our bike center and you got 2 e-bikes on 23 October
One Cube reaction SLX Hybrid with Bosch performance CX motor and 750wh battery. Fox suspension and Shimano XT equipment. (3600km total kilometers for the bike)
and one for your wife Cube reaction PRO Hybrid EASY ENTRY with Bosch performance CX motor and 750wh battery. Suntour suspension and Shimano XT/Deore equipment. (920kilometers total for the bike).
With the bikes we gave you helmets (for free) repair kit for the tires, mini tool and our emergency number.
-You started in the morning at about 9:00-10:00 and you used the bikes during the day. The bikes was working until 14:00. At about 14:00 (as you say) the chain fall from the front chainring (the bike of your wife). It was stuck and you could not ride any more.
-The bike had a damage, chain, broken plastic cover of the motor, chainring. (We did ask you to pay for the damage, and we did not say that you did it on perpose. This can happen because of bad shifting unter press or if there is a hole on the street ). You ask for refund because you push the bike for 6 kilometers. When we asked why you did not called for help you said that you THOUGHT we can not find you at the place you were.
After 2 days we meet each other and I showed you the bike you used. I showed the total kilometers on the display and asked why you say lies about the bike (I did not say anything about the 3 star review).
-You also say on the review that in switzerland you can find the same price for these bikes. Maybe you mean for 1 hour rental. I hope that you said this as a joke. Now and 2 days I am searching e-bike rental prices at many destinations (not only Switzerland) and I can guarantee that we have the best prices in all Europre. I challenge anyone to find better price than ours for the same quality of bikes and the service we offer. ( and we do not charge helmets and other extras as they do at other places). I am sure that if you had the same damage in switzerland or at another place they will ask to pay it double that it costs.
-You also say that we gave you bikes that had 3600kilometers. Yes the one bike had total 3600kilometers and the other 920 kilometers and they worked perfectly when you got them (you make lough emojies about that). What means new bike for you. Zero kilometers? You are experienced cyclist and you ride 7000 kilometers per year. Do you replace your bike every 6 months or every year? We also have some e-bikes that have total 16000 kilometers but we service them and the function is the same as new. They are just older models, we can not replace the bikes every year. With my personal road bike I ride about 10.000 km every year.
-Sorry but I can not comment the fact that you did not call us because you THOUGHT we can not find you.
-We have helped people on the mountains in the middle of nowhere. All our bikes have tubeless tires to minimize flats and we give small repair kit. Bikes are more sensitive compared to other vehicles it easier to have flats broken chain, spokes (especially the ebikes that the power is much bigger) and maybe somebody has an accident. This is why we give the emergency number.
By the way Dinosaria is only one in Crete even the small kids know where it is. If you really wanted to come and help we could find the place (even if you do not use a mobile app like whatsapp).
I understand that you was disappointed from your bike trip and you make a review because of your thought about that but this does not give you the right to say lies.

We hired two electric mountain bikes from the hire shop situated with the Lytos complex. Bikes in great condition, very friendly service and a map with QR code routes to access. Great value for money and a great way to interact with the stunning scenery.

I'm a very experienced mountain biker, but this was my first ride using an e-bike. My wife doesn't ride much, does not ride off road and had never ridden an e-bike before.
I had corresponded via e-mail with Stelios before we reached Crete and he'd answered all my questions and put my mind at ease.
Ride was to start at 9am, so got there about 15 minutes before that to get bikes, helmets and water sorted out. Michailis (sorry for probable incorrect spelling) was our guide and he did all the sorting out. The bikes (Cube) and helmets (Specialized) were in good condition.
7 in our group, plus guide. Mixed abilities. Guide very knowledgeable and stopped at various points to brief us. Answered all questions. Also made sure we always had sufficient water.
Most riding was either on quiet tarmac roads or dirt roads. No singletrack. No challenges for an experienced rider, the inexperienced riders coped without incident. Did not encounter much traffic and vehicles were never a problem. The scenery was great throughout. Some nice, fast descents, which you were encouraged to ride at your own pace. The e-bikes made short work of the uphills and everyone was able to get up them without difficulty. You do still have to pedal, but the bikes do all the hard work.
Cafe stop in small village was nice.
4 hours elapsed time, with around 2 1/2 hours of actual ride time. So, most of the ride completed before the highest temperatures of the day.
For me, this was the highlight of our week in Crete. My wife also really enjoyed - and now wants an e-bike. So, this could prove to be a very expensive trip!

I rented a road bike from Cycling Creta in September 2024. It was alminium frame and worked perfectly for me. It was well maintained - gear change was smoothe and brakes were perfect. I dealt with Stelios and he was always very helpful and responded to my queries quickly. As well as a bike, Cycling Creta provides GPX files for suggested routes (both road and off road) and a followed a number of these.
I would highly recommend Cycling Creta to rent a bike. I would certainlly go back there for a bike of I am there again.

Our bike tour was amazing! We appreciated many things on our trip:
-The views were spectacular
- Mihalis knew the area so well and gave us interesting stories and facts (and fables!) about the area. He even took us by his Olive Trees and told us about how olive oil is made
- the bikes were in great condition, they really helped, but we had to put work into the bike ride!
- our highlight was the coffee stop in a small village. There were a few villagers there with hearty Kalimeras!! for our tour group, and we snacked on olives, feta, bread and watermelon as we sipped coffee and learned more about the people in our group.
- the ride through olive groves while overlooking the sea was spectacular and we recommend this tour highly

Hired Bosch/Cube "Reaction" Hard-Tail e-bikes on a coupe of days using routes suggested by Cycling Creta; Avdou Lake Sfendyli Mochos and Toumpaneros plus short evening ride, about 130 Km in all and great value. Quite warm in August easily down loaded maps supplied free to Strava Garmin and Komoot . we used our own devices but I believe Garmin devices can be hired from Cycling Creta shop.Would recommend e bikes especially in August heat. They were also able to supply SPD pedals or flat pedal on MTBs. Will defiantly hire again from Cycling Creta.

I hired a bike for 4 days on my holiday... I e-mailed ahead to reserve a road bike and it was delivered to the hotel when I arrived...
The Bike was a BMC Teammachine and was perfect for my needs... Cycling Creta also have a selection of routes that can be downloaded - and the mountain roads are spectacular
At the end of the 4 days, the bike was collected from the hotel!
I really can't argue, price was good, bike was lovely to ride and the service made everything easy!!
Highly recommend if you want bike hire

I’ve rented a road bike twice during my holidays. Both times the bikes were perfect!! High quality bikes for a fair price. The owner is always available to accommodate your needs. Finally, cycling in Crete is awesome and you get to see the less touristic places and local villages with stunning views! Highly recommend and 5 stars deserved!

We are hoping to book our holiday for the end of August to Stalis, Crete (Heraklion area). My sister is a keen cyclist, and would like to hire a good road bike (not e-bike). Are there any cycle hire shops near to the I resort Beach hotel in Stalis? Thank you

10 Kilometers from Stalida. For 3 days or more bike rental, we deliver bikes to Stalida. In order to book a bike we need to know how tall is the rider and the days that she wants the bike.

We have baby seats that fits most mountain bikes. The seats are for kids up to 22 kilos. We have also and bike trailer. If you want to rent a bike we can fix a baby seat on it.
For our bike tours we do not use the baby seats or the trailers as the tours are 4-7 hours and with lots of off roads sections (depending on the tour).
Our tours are good for kids 10 years and older and do some sports.

Aposelemis OR Lasithi Descent?
Hello, for professional level athletes, which is more suitable? We are professional in other areas. However, we do mountain bike as well, although we have not gone much this summer. When we do mountain bike it is in the north of Israel and after about 13 km with about 200 meters uphill we are pretty beat. However, the trails here are covered with a lot of rocks and the downhills are curvey and the uphills are steep. It says that your level 2 is "easy," but by what standard?

Hello!
By the word easy we mean that for someone who goes mountain biking 1-2 times per week this tour is easy.
The terrain here is also with many rocks and some steep uphills.
If 13km distance and 200m uphill is your limit then maybe the "Aposelemis" tour is your tour.
To every tour that we do the lunch or dinner is included in the price.
