Lovely walk round a lovely reserve. Very tranquil and quite a few birds to see. Toilet available too. Barrister selling hot drinks at the entrance , best hot chocolate I have ever had, yummy! Hot milk with two chocolate logs melted in to it!

None of the 'hidden gem ' stuff, but this is a lovely place to visit for a long or short peaceful walk and open sky's. Free car parking, take note Knettishall Heath and avoid, a good mobile Coffee van Saturday and Sunday.
Good for bird spotting , wildlife and for young children to learn and appreciate, or just have a good run !
Not hidden at all and well worth a visit. Active childrens events advertised in the Visitor Centre. Do go !

Wonderful area of fen and woodland with abundance of wildlife. Well marked paths make it easy to navigate, but it still gives the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere

We found this fen by reading material at our holiday let.
There are a number of trails you can follow and they are well signposted.
On the day we visited, part of the fen was closed due to dangerous trees.
There was a vehicle selling delicious coffees in the car park.

3 hour walk on flat ground. Different walks can be taken depending how long you wish to walk, well signposted.
All paths well maintained. Thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility and the absence of people so no covid concerns!
Highly recommend.
Free car parking. Would suggest taking your own refreshments.

We had a great 2-hour walk round the fen from the free car park at the visitor centre. Walks of various lengths were well-signposted. No refreshments were available at the visitor centre. Walking boots were needed, but the paths were not particularly muddy in view of the amount of rain we had had.

A tranquil area well managed by the excellent Suffolk Wildlife Trust. Well maintained and signposted walks of various lengths. As you would expect from the description, flatan easy walking. Wildlife, insect life and bird life vary with the seasons but a pleasant walk available at all times of the year

Visited here with friends for a delightful walk through unspoilt countryside with a unique atmosphere. A gentle stroll will take you through a huge variety of walks, all showcasing the very special Suffolk/Norfolk flora and fauna. Very informative walk-guide cards at the car park meant we set out with high hopes, and we did actually see the fabulous Fen Raft Spider! A great afternoon...

This is one of our favourite walks. Such a tranquil, beautiful area. Every year they hold a plant fair where several nurseries come together to sell their plants. Everything from Lupins to Hostas and Irises to many, many perennials. Bulbs, ferns etc etc etc. This is a Suffolk Wildlife Trust area so expect to pay a small entrance fee (of course!). Off road parking in fields so don't bring your Ferrari or wear high heels! Great sausages in rolls. A really nice atmosphere and great for stocking up on plants. You can also tag on a walk through the fens of course!

Lovely place to visit for a walk.
Unsure of the facilities as the visitors centre didn't appear to be happen today as it was a Sunday but the disabled loo was open and there was a man serving hot drinks from his mobile coffee shop.
A gorgeous place to visit, we only did the short walk but we will definately be returning soon to try the others :)

We did the longest route & didn't come across any resting spots. It was also pretty boggy in some places so could make it awkward for you. Hope this answers your question.
