We went on a Saturday morning and although the workforce were enjoying a well earned weekend off, it didn’t spoil our experience. Tour guide gave us lots of info about the machines and processes. I’m sure it would be more difficult showing people round while they are trying to work! We’ve booked the distillery tour for a Saturday as well....no problem.

But there are some good car parks in Southwold – all within walking distance: The Common Car Park IP18 6HN Southwold Pier, IP18 6BN Ferry Road, IP18 6NG Harbour Quay, IP18 6ND However, I would say that the tasting portions at the end of the tour are so generous, it's probably best to get a taxi or a bus home!

I agree about an hour with an unrushed tasting session at the end. Make sure all members of your party wear shoes with closed in toes - or you'll have to where the Adnams supplied plimsoles

On brewery tours there is wheelchair access for most of the tour and basic lift access to the Tasting Room. There are a number of small, shallow steps between some areas, stairs to some areas and there is a significant amount of walking and standing throughout the tour. There is also a short journey to undertake between the beer tasting and spirits tasting sessions.
