My other half and I completed The Governor this afternoon and we absolutely loved it! Out of the three rooms we have completed recently, this was the hardest but most rewarding. Our host Jack was brilliant, incredibly helpful and informative and made the experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back again!

It was so fun and very personal. Jack was a great host and we had an amazing time, even though we was 10 minutes late. My favourite escape ive ever done and me and my family have done many if different areas.

Fantastic experience!
Friendly staff
We did The Guv’nor escape room and it was brilliant. Some really challenging puzzles and some ‘of course’ moments!

I can't recommend this place highly enough. We went as a group of seven, to take on the Governor. We had so much fun and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The experience was enhanced greatly by our guide Alex. He really got into character and made it such an immersive experience. He made us jump a few times and also laugh.
If anyone is thinking about giving this a try, then go for it. You will have a great time.

Had such a great time in 'The Governor' escape room for our team away day. The team on-site were really well organised and explained everything thoroughly ahead of the game. Managed to escape with over 5 minutes to spare also! Would definitely recommend.

An excellent hour spent completing “the last testament”. Lots of fun and problem solving. We enjoyed searching for the clues and the assistance from Emily was superb. Thankyou very much and we will book again in the future.

Fantastic escape room, with really good puzzles to solve - different to other escape rooms I’ve done. We were running late because of an accident on the A130, but we phoned ahead and they were very understanding, which was very much appreciated.

Second time we have been to Chelmsford, Alex was fantastic and enthusiastic and the crazy cat lady room which fun, thankfully we completed it.

This was only our second experience of an escape room and our games master Jack was fantastic, looking after all of our needs. The room was challenging and great fun with all of us having to work together to compete it was only three minutes to spare. Would highly recommend this experience.

Hi Charlotte, The Governor has a few more physical elements to the game, however this will only require 1 member of the group to complete these.

Depends on the game; children enjoy both games and often see things adults miss because adults sometimes overcomplicate the thought process and children are much better at thinking laterally.

WOW- Had an amazingly, fun, first-time experience at Chelmsford Escape Room. Very excited to explore 'The Governor'. Ryan was a fantastic host and hand-held us through our first time. Already booked into Colchester for December but welcome Chelmsford anytime because of the great welcome by desk staff, a director casually sitting in the cafe, and then Ryan. We wish you every success.....................x
