In general the staff and most of the driving instructors were nice.
On reflection, the experience overall at North Weald was average/ disappointing. The track was too small to experience get a decent experience of the cars' capabilities. The whole point of a driving experience is to be able to drive performance cars fast and experience more of their potential which this track prevents. All of the cars were driven between 2nd and 3rd gear on tight hairpins followed by short straights which severely limits the the point of the experience: to truly DRIVE the car.
For any driving experience in the future, I'd recommend to look at an actual race circuit to seek more of an actual driving experience rather than a short ride in a fast car.

Avoid Euro Auto Garage a unreliable vehicle workshop. Bad experience with unreliable services and exorbitant spareparts charges plus sub standard workmanship. Consumers Beware.

I bought a lap in a Lamborghini for my son’s 13th birthday which he was very excited about. However the day was underwhelming to say the least.
I paid an extra £5 for him to go round the circuit and learn where to break/accelerate. Another £25 insurance as I was told I was liable for the first £5k of damage.
The one lap is literally that - no warm up lap - so he was in the car for all of 5 minutes. The circuit is tiny. To make up for the bitter disappointment I paid a further £15 for him to be driven around the circuit in a Lotus so that he felt he got something memorable from the day. £15 for 30 seconds! Then there was a technical fault so his photographs didn’t pull through. The videos cost £25 to be downloaded to your phone. The guy who did the briefing said that pre-Covid the sessions would be booked out with 15 people a slot so I’d have been upset to have queued for a long time for this.
I felt completely ripped off and wouldn’t recommend it unless you had the money to pay for 8 laps around the circuit and the option for that to be partly driven and partly drive yourself.

Received the ferrari and lamborgini blast as a gift. I've had one before on an airfield circuit which was great. This one may as well have been in my driveway. 3.5 laps advertised as 3 miles but at 30 seconds per lap as an experienced driver that can't be right. The main straight takes about 3 seconds and you're not alowed to go over 70mph which kind of defeats the point in driving a supercar. The cars are auto which makes them easy to use for a novice but they barely get out of first gear. I was there over 2 hours for less than 5 mins drive. I then paid £40 for pics and videos. The 360 video is great but software issues means it doesn't work on a phone which is the only option. The photos are mid drive so it's pretty much my forehead due to mask and glasses. Staff were all lovely so can't fault them. Yes I had fun and it was good to drive nice cars but well overpriced for a sub standard experience.

My son had a voucher brought for his 18th and chose this experience. To make more of a day of it my husband brought the experience too. By the time we paid 25 pounds per person extra to go at the weekend and the 25 pounds per person for the Insurance that worked out 100 pounds each for what turned out to be a 3 mins drive, around a tiny track. We spent longer standing out in the cold as there was not enough adequate seating than having an experience. My son then wanted a picture at 25 pounds a download not even a printed one I was not impressed. All I can say is it is not an experience worth repeating. Go elsewhere.

Great car, I upgraded to the Lamborghini Huracan from the Galardo. Just be aware of the add-ons before you go, additional insurance, siting laps, upgrades. Also I bought 10 photos and video which was not cheap as only download to your phone but I cannot share at the moment.
It was a good experience and I would do again. The organising there just needs fine tuning..

There are two ways of reviewing our "experience"
We booked via Track Days for my son to have a Junior Lamborghini driving experience. It was for his 12th birthday (which is the minimum age requirement) He was so excited that not only was he able to drive a car but his favourite car on his Birthday!!
My review - Very badly sign posted but managed to find it in the end. Walked up the the reception to register, and was told that we were down for 2.30pm not 1.30pm as stated on my email confirmation!! Bad start!!
We were then told to go upstairs to the briefing room. Where we waited for ages. Finally a bloke walked in saying we were unlucky we had him doing the briefing because he was the owner of all the cars. All he banged on about was how expensive the cars were and that he had lost 3 in one month. He mentioned the £25 insurance fee and that if he had his way he wouldn't offer it and we would have to pay the £5000 excess. Very unprofessional behaviour on his part. There was no mention of go out there and have fun!!
The Junior drivers are mixed with the Adult drivers. Which didn't bother us, but obviously the adults do get stuck behind the slower junior drivers. Would make more sense to have a separate area for Juniors or a dedicated time slot.
It was finally his turn and off he went. He loved it!!
But the 'Hot Lap' we paid extra for was in a BMW, not the Lamborghini as expected and he was put in the back of the car as apparently they have up to 3 passengers on a hot lap. Therefore because he was in the back this part wasn't recorded on his USB.
Overall, I would love for him to experience it again but certainly would not go back to Car Limits!!!

I surprised my husband with this. I regret. 3 laps lasted 15 mins with a long (30 min) wait time. His experience wasn’t satisfying. He mentioned that the laps weren’t long enough - stop start experience where you don’t get to experience the speed of these racing cars. The driver also made him a bit uncomfortable where he couldn’t really experience the speed. Mainly, the laps were too short with many kids driving and in the way.
This experience is probably ideal for kids looking to drive for the first time. However, if you’re a regular driver - id recommend finding one that has longer laps and that’s less crowded.

We went to North Wield yesterday for my son's 14th birthday treat.
I had read lots of reviews before which helped us get the best of the day.
We booked for 9.30-10.30, which actually doesn't mean much as you are in an automatic queueing system to drive each of your chosen cars, however I think it helped that we were on an early session.
I knew that they were going to try and sell us the extra £25 insurance which I had already decided we would decline as the instructor has duel control pedals and it was very unlikely that anything would happen.
We also declined the extra £5 for a 'sighting' lap in a minibus to have learn the lap and where you can go faster. (We had plenty of time to watch lots of cars go round before our turn)
We also declined an extra £20 to drive the Lamborghini Huracan (I think Huracan but the yellow one anyway!!)
Lastly we also decided not to spend an extra £45 on a usb stick with videos and photos of the experience as they actually weren't very good. (I'm sure better pictures at a reasonable price would sell better?)
So we saved an extra £95 on a day that had already cost £129, winning in my book!!
If I didn't already know about being asked to pay for all these 'extras" it would have started to annoy me....
The safety talk was actually very funny and informative, no issues there.
Then you go back down and keep an eye on the screens to see when your turn comes up.
My son drive the Nissan GTR 1st and absolutely loved the experience, yes there was then a wait until the next car but you can watch other people and the exciting fast passenger laps.
Then he drive the BMWi8 which is an amazing experience for 14 year old! Again loved it.
He lastly drove the blue Lamborghini which looked amazing, but he said compared to the other 2 cars it seemed a bit old inside! `Hey ho! he still obviously enjoyed it though.
I think as long as you are prewarned about the extras and are prepared to wait no matter what time you book for, and understand as an adult you are not going to be letting rip in a 100k car around the whole airfield then this is a brilliant experience.
Dress for the weather as you will really want to be watching outside and there's no shelter.
There was also a double decker bus cafe yesterday but not sure if that's always there?
Overall a fantastic experience for a 14 year old and I would recommend but it helps to be a bit informed before you go!
