I have always wanted to dabble with radio controlled vehicles and my chance arose unexpectedly to visit this little gem in Fareham (between Portsmouth and Southampton in Hampshire.) I was told by a friend on the Isle of Wight that I should at least poke my head around the door - he should know having been flying radio controlled 'things' since his late Father taught him aged 12! We are both now 45 and I thought that I'd rather start with vehicles as flying a radio controlled aircraft is hard and not recommended if you do not know what you are doing. In many circumstances novices will not be allowed to take the controls for health and safety reasons. On arrival I was encouraged from the start to try my skills out with a vehicle to my hearts content as it was a quiet and quite windy day. I was on my own with no opponent to race but this did not matter - there was enough to master as a novice without another vehicle to collide with! I was eventually joined by other members of the public who were visiting and one was in exactly the same position as I was. So I did get a race in but was more taken by the encouraging attitude of the staff on site and the overall friendliness in the atmosphere. Would like to visit on a busier day now I have found my feet but I live up north and only visit the Isle of Wight once a year if that. So ... Well worth a visit and value for money IMHO too. I WILL be back one day. Promise.

We regularly go here, and they have been immensely helpful and encouraging to my son, getting into RC models. They always have time to chat about best options, and make suggestions about ways to fix things up. Excellent service!
