What a brilliant find. We knew nothing about Kington when we spent a few nights here for our Summer break. The gentleman on the door was so happy and keen to share his knowledge with us. We came away amazed by the history of this lovely town. Definitely recommend a visit

This is a very well stocked small museum and we were fortunate that the Chairman of the trust was on hand to talk to us about the artefacts and the history of Kington. Absolutely delightful visit and gave us insight into this lovely little town and its inhabitants. Thank you

Chris, our guide through this gem of a museum was a mine of information. From the circus elephant story, to tales of drovers and on to US soldiers stationed here in WWII it was all presented with a passion and humour. Dont miss this out of your trip to Kington.

The exposition about WW2 field hospital near Bredward Farm (Kington Camp) was fascinating. Friendly volunteers.

Really enjoyed our visit to this local museum. The staff were very enthusiastic which made it even better. They were happy to point out all sorts of things about the displays. All local to Kington. Some local history books for sale and donations welcome to help continue to run this little gem.

Having been past it the previous days and it was closed, when I saw it open we took the opportunity to visit the museum. Very glad we did too. The lovely gentleman manning the museum and the books, was a fount of knowledge on the local area. I had wished he would do a more in depth guided tour within the museum. His stories surpass the story display in the museum.

What a great place to visit. Plenty of history of Kington and surrounding district. The museum volunteers are try knowledgeable and there are plenty of exhibits to see. When I went it didnt cost anything to enter but a donation is expected which I was very pleased to contribute. Welk worth a visit when your visiting this delightful market town.

I was so suprised at the amount of local history this museum has. It's larger than it looks. Very friendly staff. Worth a visit if you're in town.

A massive collection of local photographs, helpful and knowledgeable volunteers. The local dependency in the past of sheep and wool ìs clearly shown as is the activity in ww2.

Kington is not a big town but the very centrally located museum has a huge collection. We were in a bit of a rush to do it justice BUT.
What a lovely welcome in this free museum - clearly a labour of love. They could offer training to the sad hotel opposite perhaps.
