‪Not mutch left of the mill, but the walk along the valley is nice. Good for dog walks, good pathways and used by cyclists as well.‬

‪Kem Mill has a fascinating history - worth a visit‬

‪The ruins of Kem Mill (destroyed by fire) have been refurbished (Lottery money) and weatherproof information boards erected across the appropriate places to explain the full history and workings of the mill. Very informative and a lovely walk!‬

‪Quite a pleasant countryside walk in all the Seasons of the Year, lots of wildlife in the form of Flora & Fauna to see, plus some of the ruins of the Old Bleach Works which was Lower Kem Mill.‬

‪Access to Cuerden Valley‬

‪Entering from Whittle le Woods, there is a car park, before the path leads to Lower Kem Mill. It is possible to meander around the paths or to walk to Bamber Bridge through the valley. Good variety of terrain and good for dog walking. ‬

‪I'm biased this place is brilliant, I walked around it before it was formalised as part of Cuerden Valley Park, just go and do what you do.‬

‪Surprising find on a hill‬

‪Historic setting within the confines of Cuerden Valley Park. I stumbled upon this site by accessing the park via another route and was amazed to find the remnants of what would have been a great employer during its existence. During the Lancashire cotton era, nowadays there is not a lot to see but there are some notice platforms that can give a glimpse into the past.‬

‪Take your kids and make them into Amateur Archaeologist's there's not a lot to see at eye leave but there is a map of the old mill for you to look at and explore the ground leave and you can see or make out some of the buildings have fun‬
