Excellent museum in Fleetwood outlining the history of the town and the fishing industry. Great to be able to view the Harriet boat and No 8, the house next door to the museum which is now owned by the museum.
The staff at the museum are very knowledgeable about all the pictures and artefacts, a great morning out.

Fascinating history of the port and town of Fleetwood. Very interesting and the volunteers are very knowledgeable and approachable. Nice little cafe and shop included.

What a wonderful place this is. A real insight into the town’s history, which is brought alive by the volunteers. They and their families have lived and worked in Fleetwood and have an amazing breadth of knowledge. The displays are interesting, well presented and there is something for everyone. You could spend hours here! “Harriet” is beautiful, not to be missed. Who would have known that Johnny Cash liked Fisherman’s Friend? Or that there were Salt Mines? The cafe has excellent crumpets, the gift shop staff are friendly and welcoming. There’s even a second hand bookshop next door. We had the chance to go next door to number eight, a recent acquisition and a real treat, with a lovely guide. It’s the best museum I have ever been to.

Well worth a visit ,so much history, the volunteers are very knowledgeable & friendly. We were lucky enough to be able to visit No 8 next door to see how it progressed through time. A must visit if in the area.

Absolutely loved our visit today with the 8 year old grandson...he particularly liked the flag quiz!!

What a brilliant afternoon out, the guides were very informative, don't forget to go and see the trawler outside as it's got a fascinating history.

Really excellent museum that I have seen many times but never previously visited. Small charge (adults only) that I was more than happy to pay as the quality of the exhibits and the variety of subjects covered is fascinating and a real insight into the thriving fishing town that Fleetwood used to be. Volunteers were extremely friendly and helpful and managed to engage my 10 and 14 year old with age appropriate challenges and activities, all of which were free for children. Love the focus on This Lass Can - women of Fleetwood really well done!

Visited as part of the Tram Sunday event-Admission today was free but normally there's a small charge that still gives value for money.You'll need to allow a few hours as there's lots to see.It focuses heavily on the former fishing industry from methods of fishing to the loss of life in the industry.The Fisherman's Friends factory in town is featured as well as many other by gone memories....I'll need to go back to give myself more time to take in the displays in more depth.Theres also the F.V Harriet built in the town and brought back and house out the back under cover.We had a fine tour from Keith who summarised it's life from launch.On the way out there's also the Cafe and a decent shop.Thanks to all the volunteers for their time.

We had a lovely few hours at this fascinating museum. The exhibits and information boards tell the amazing story of Fleetwood and its history. Fishing was the heart and soul of this community and the volunteers here made us feel so welcome, their amassed knowledge of everything in this museum gave us first hand knowledge of Fleetwood and its past. Wow is all we could say on seeing Harriet, we encourage you to go down to the shed to view this beautiful old lady. Thank you to all of you for the scrumptious Lancashire crumpets, tea and cake, your friendliness, honestly the best museum in the UK. You made our day perfect

Enjoyed. Much more than expected. Plenty of history. The tour and talk of the boat harriet was amazing. Dont think there is a lift but i might be wrong. Well worth the money and it was a change to visit it.
