My first visit to Morpeth.
I came across this arcade, the rest of the Morpeth shopping area is unremarkable.
I don't know the history of this shopping area so I am writing as an outsider with a first impression.
From the outside it looked like a late 19th century arcade, which is common in many northern cities. As I walked through it, it looked well maintained almost new, at the end there was a sign saying it was opened in 2009 by Joanna Lumley.
A few overpriced posh shops in a short arcade.
I came across this arcade, the rest of the Morpeth shopping area is unremarkable.

Very clean, lovely shopping centre with lots to offer. We enjoyed a few shopping trips here on our holiday with the local M&S being extremely handy with Waterstones being close by also! Lots of clothes stores, jewellers, cafes and coffee bars to choose from

Always enjoy a meander through the arcade when in town & today was a little different as I was able to admire the stunning Christmas decorations, a real treat as always!

Sanderson’s Arcade has metamorphosed over time with many changes in the retail outlets based there but most are occupied now & offer a diverse range from Fat Face, Sea Salt & Body Shop to M&S & Central Bean, the recent addition of a new jewellers means there’s something for everyone.
The Arcade is always impeccably clean and offers a short cut from the town through to the bus station, if you’re not familiar with the area & need to spend a penny, there are some excellent W/Cs in the Arcade adjacent to Central Bean.

Easily the best small shopping centre in Northumberland. Located in the centre of Morpeth means it already has an advantage over the others in ‘less pleasant’ areas of the county and the quality of stores inside are far superior. Crew clothing, Body Shop, FatFace, M&S, Waterstones, Clark’s and Jojo Maman Bébé to name a few. Great place to shop. 🛍

Didn't know anything about this place, but good selection of shops and very clean environment. A passage from the main street through to the bus station. The only negative that I would say would be to have a few more shops.

My family recently visited Morpeth after a few years and the Sanderson Arcade is very nice with plenty of variety.Had a walk along the river and then back to the centre for lunch.
The only problem we found was the unhygienic state of the toilets near the bus station.They are opposite a little newsagent.We didnt use public transport but the floors were badly ingrained with dirt all around the area.Let the place down.

Bright, clean and welcoming. Always a pleasure to visit or pass through. Shops offer a great range given size of place. A positive experience to such an already lovely little town.

the best shoping centere in Morpeth. it is mostly outside. it is next to the bus station. so you can catch the bus there. there are cafes

My review is about a year late but still sticks in my mind
We often used to walk through the sanderson arcade mostly to visit marks shopping, but always had a look around and something to eat, but im being totally honest here both my hubby and i give it a wide berth now as i was massively embarrassed for the poor chap who was doing the sweeping up in here...I really had to admire his patience and coolness as the (head porter) (concierge) whatever his title is was being unbearably patronising and downright rude to the poor man while he was trying to do his job as best he could and getting quite a lot of needless grief for his trouble...theres no need whatsoever to humiliate someone to make yourself look clever because sadly all he did was show himself us as a bully in my eyes and i have zero tolerance for that...totally unprofessional...a man of his age and maturity shouldve known better
For this reason I rarely visit the arcade now

coffee bean have seats outside and the dogs are very welcome as far as I can see.
