To realise how harsh the depression was on so many people that this was all they could do for their home and to the good citizens who were fortunate enough in their own lives during this period to share food and support with these desperate people. Clear evidence as to how these country communities pulled together in hard times and still do.

A short drive out of town with parking available. We enjoyed seeing and reading about the heritage stone sculptures as we walked up the path, followed by magnificent views of the surrounding landscape. Allow at least 20 minutes to take it all in.

Park on Lloyd Rd and then walk up through a park with a variety of sculptures, to Pensioners Hill Lookout. Very enjoyable

The views are great but the various sculptures really makes this lookout special. There was ground work & landscaping repairs being done while we were there so we didn't see it at its best. There are also picnic tables & BBQs.

The Rotary lookout has everything for you to see the town. Sculptures and well sign posted, a pleasure to visit.

Not just a great lookout high above the town - gee is it worth the visit. The view is expansive and impressive. You truly are on top of the town.
Be sure to drop into the Tourist Info Centre to grab the little flyer that explains the sculptures - they are beautiful and their meanings are very special.
Well worth a visit.

Enjoyed our visit to the lookout today.....needs amenities though. Tables there for a picnic or a coffee and morning tea but no amenities if you would have planned to stay longer.

Nice easy walk up (though lots of road works at present) to a nice view over the town. Not as high or as specy or as high as Porcupine but pleasant enough.

Beautiful view and a little history. Enjoyed it. This a free site. You must drive to it. Only takes a short time to view and read the history.

Cool sculptures -great view - might even see a koala or two !!! -worth the drive from town - be a great location for that perfect sunrise shot
