These experiences are located inside Holden Arboretum and included with admission there. If you are on public benefits (SNAP, Medicaid, etc.) you can enter for $1 each by showing your benefits card. While the arboretum is dog friendly, these experiences are not, and I don't believe they allow strollers either. There may be a wait. We were there on a Saturday and had to wait a few minutes for the tower but not the canopy. Both are great experiences but definitely not recommended for those who are afraid of heights. Both experiences sway, which kids in particular may find alarming. Many people find the walk up the tower (there is no elevator) difficult, but there are several spots to rest. The canopy is a ramp and much easier. It's also much lower, so if you're concerned about the height start with that one first and see how you feel. While I'm glad to have tried both experiences, there is plenty to do at the arboretum without them.

The Holden gardens are beautiful in summer! Then last fall my son & his fiance took me there to see the fall colors! When I visited before it was 2011, so the walk & tower were not built yet. Wow - what an amazing addition!! Viewing the entire area with the Fall foliage was spectaclular! Can't wait to visit in October THIS year!

we went to the Arboretum and it was quite nice. the canopy walk and tower were cool, with a great view of miles of tree tops above the canopy of the trees. being from So. Cal. where we don't have forest like this, we loved walking the trails, the ponds and the trees.

The Emergent Tower is fabulous, definitely worth climbing up the winding stairs to get a view above the tree line. The Canopy Walk was ok, a bit shorter then I expected but fun and relaxing.

My husband and I decided to take the canopy walk and the emergent tower climb within the Holden Arboretum. A pleasant choice. The tower is 120 foot climb to the top with rest benches along the way. Very cool and beautiful views once you reach the top. Knowledgeable and courteous docents await you at the top. Very beautiful views! The canopy walk is a short walk above the forest. Not much to view but fun anyway. Both the canopy and tower have informational tidbits along the way.

My friend and I often walk in Holden Arboretum with our dogs. This time we made a special trip as the Canopy Walk & Emergent Tower are dog-free areas. Both held breathtaking views. The canopy walk's suspension bridge lets you walk among the tree tops. There were kids in strollers on it and they were having a ball. The Emergent Tower is fabulous but no stollers here. It's quite a climb up but definitely worth it. Be aware both close for the winter on November 1, although the Holden Arboretum is open year round.

Came for the walk and tower and were not disappointed. At the top of the tower we could see all the way to Lake Erie. It is a good climb at 202 stairs, but well worth the view. We heard that they have to limit the people during the fall because so many want to see the fall color changing from the top.

Make sure to check when this attraction is open. Last year we went the weekend after it closed and had to wait until the next year to go to it. It is work the price especially in the early fall. The Canopy walk was just ok. It's bridges in a triangle but it was nice. I really liked the view from the top of the Emergent Tower. Nice place to take pictures. We will do this again.

What a beautiful place, there is a charge for this $5 attraction, but it is worth it and bring your walking shoes. Emergent Tower is all steps, but there are benches to rest at on the way up. Once at the top your above the trees and the view is worth the climb.

We were Holden Arboretum members many years ago and rejoined last year because we had heard of all the expansion and improvements. In addition, it has a reciprocity agreement with the Cleveland Botanical Gardens and various other gardens and arboretums around the country. We're so glad we are once again members.
The canopy walk is a hoot! It literally takes you into the trees and above the forest floor with an entirely different view than ever before. The walkways are on a suspension-type structure that swings and bounces as you walk on it. It's just too much fun.
The emergent tower is not for the faint of heart or for those who have difficulty climbing stairs. Once you reach the top you are rewarded with a spectacular view of the country side. We were there on a day with some wind and you could feel the tower sway. A bit unsettling, but once you got used to it, it was pretty cool. There was a volunteer at the top who was very knowledgeable about the tower and surrounding area.
If you visit Holden, pay the extra money and visit these two attractions. They are worth it!!
