First time visit. Very enjoyable, however when we pulled up and asked for information as to what was included in the admission price didn't get much of an answer. We ended up stating we wanted 2 wagon rides. So for the 3 of us we paid $44 two adults and one 4 year old. We drove through and waited about 1/2 hour for the wagon ride as I assume they were waiting for enough people to fill the wagon. Our driver was very nice and answered any questions. They give you plenty of animal food--we even had some left at the end of the ride. The lots of animals come to the wagon for food. Very fun to feed them. We did not see most of the farm buildings as I didn't realize until after we left that there were more to see (my husband took the brochure as he did not go on the wagon ride) so I did not read it until later that night. I would highly recommend to take children as they see the animals up close and really enjoy it.

We had RV so we didn’t do the drive through on your own option but took the wagon ride. Entertaining for kids. Pricey. But how often do you get to feed a. Ostrich or Giraffe by hand? Just don’t take wagon tour - walk around the grounds. Nice facilities.

We took our grandchildren last summer and they just loved feeding the animals from our car and had a great time. Yesterday, there were bulldozers and machines hauling trees and limbs away in the drive thru and the only animals that the kids could feed were llamas. The deer would not approach the car and the variety of animals that were there last year were not there. It was very disappointing because we were all expecting the same experience as last year.

This is the best animal farm you will ever tour that you can have hands on at feeding these lovable animals and a large variety of animals also. There is just about every animal you can think of on that farm. This was my 14 time at this farm with a bus load from NC and will be back in June 2022.

We live in Akron and decided to take a friend visiting from London to Amish country. Based on the reviews on Trip Advisor, we included The Farm and were rewarded with such a fun experience! The weather was very cool so we opted to stay in our car and not take the buggy ride. It was amazing how many varieties of animals were roaming the huge 'farm' and came up to the car looking for food. A real 'up close and personal' experience. Antelope, deer, bison, pigs, emus...it was a fascinating journey and much more interesting than going to a zoo where the animals are all in cages. We highly recommend The Farm if you're touring Amish country in Ohio.

Despite an expensive entry fee, the animals are in small dirty pens, most outdoors and were shivering from the cold. The giant horse is apparently seldom permitted to go outside and is in a stable that doesn’t look large enough to turn around. Shameful to exploit animals in this way. I would not recommend this place.

The Farm at Walnut Creek was recommended by a friend in North Carolina. We opted for the wagon ride rather than drive our vehicle. Our "driver" was knowledgeable and very friendly. We were up close and personal with so many of the animals. When the wagon tour was over we were able to walk around another area of the Farm at our leisure. Great afternoon.

This place blew away my preconceived notion of a simple animal farm of exotic animals. I would describe it as an interactive zoo when you take the horse drawn wagon ride and hand feed the various species of animals that live in the huge wooded, fenced in area. The 40 minute ride was like a nice ride in the countryside while viewing and feeding the animals. The driver was engaging and provided a wealth of information with humor. So, take the wagon ride and don’t drive your own car. The other animal exhibits were well laid out and let you view them at your leisure. Strolling the grounds, venturing into the house, and enjoying fresh cookies made for an enjoyable visit.

My granddaughter and I visited here in Aug 2019 ~ and decided to visit again in Aug 2021. We enjoyed it as much this time as we did the 1st time!
It's amazing to see the variety of animals on the farm.
The little piglets were adorable; and the goats were noisy ~ as before ~ looking to have our attention (and food) ... never hesitating to push the less aggressive ones aside.
We're so glad that someone clued us in to this wonderful family attraction.
Keep up the great work ~ and thank you again for the terrific time!

We visited The Farm @ Walnut Creek in October, 2021 and took the wagon ride. It was great. Up close and personal with many animals. The we walked around to see the other animals. Loved the island with the Ringed Tailed Lemurs.

Is this a tourist trap? Would like to experience and get to know Amish customs, etc? What is price of admission?
Tarrahandemmasmom2

It is definitely not a tourist trap. You get to walk around the farm and enter the buildings and houses on the property to see how things are made. You can drive your car around to see most animals or as I recommend you can ride on a horse drawn wagon. My children, husband, grandmother and I all enjoyed our experience!
The prices are as follows:
Adult $11.75
Children 3-12 $8.75
Senior $8.75
Group rate of 15+ people $7.75 each
Adult +wagon $16.75
Children 3-12 +wagon $11.75
Senior +wagon $11.75
Group 15+ people $10.25 each

It's a former Amish home that is now used for self tours. Nobody lives in the home anymore. It still has furniture and quilts and a few Amish things in it. It's part Amish farm and part zoo. It's a good way to spend an afternoon.

Do they permit bringing in apples for the horses and romaine lettuce for the giraffes (as long as they are washed)?

I have never been there in the winter but the advertisements make the statement that Gerri P states. It is all weather dependent and like the wagon rides it is a separate fee but reasonable.

What time is best to visit so the animals are awake and active
bdodt
توسن, Arizona21 مساهمة
There's probably no bad time as far as the animals being active. They are carful to only feed the animals inside the animal area. I would base my visit time more on the weather. It can be hot in the afternoon on the wagon.

At least 2 1/2 hours if touring the whole farm.
