What's not to love.....guided nature walks, astronomy shows, great trails, lectures, a wonderful gift shop, and my favorite - the bird feeding station. I can sit their for hours watching the feeders. On crowded days, courtesy prevails, and I limit my watching to 30 minutes. then I return if I spot an empty seat.

Was visiting the area. hiking trails are well marked and easy to find my way around. Nothing special about the area - but enjoyable hiking.

They have several trails here and they are all enjoyable. I've been coming here since the 80's when I was a kid. There is a nice visitor center that's open during normal business hours. Great for 2 adults hiking and there is a trail by a pond that the kids would love as well. All in all, a great place to visit and it's free!!!

What a surprise Wilmot was hiding! We visited the nature center, the outdoor children's play area, had a picnic, and hiked around the lake.
We hiked in the heat of the afternoon, I wouldn't recommend it then, but in the fall I bet it is beautiful! The wooded area of the hike had an observation tower, but walking through the pines was my favorite and beautiful. Take bug spray if you are hiking in the summer!

The countryside around Wilmot is nice and peaceful. Lots of walking, hiking and cross country skiing trails. Had a great time

Hubby and I took our grandkids for a morning of hiking and just looking at all the beauty that surrounded us. Was not disappointed. We only live a few miles from here and this was the first time we had went....we will be going back quite often.

Awesome place to see nature so much to see. Great for adults and kids. Interactive things to do inside, as well as hiking trails, and picnic tables.

Just completed another visit to one of our favorite places in Stark County. Took our boys there for years. Now, they've grown up and we still visit. Great resource for information about the out of doors.

The center / building is lovely but doesn’t have great curb appeal or a great welcoming feeling. Maybe better signage would help with this.
When we went inside the entry, there was a woman at the front desk reading a book. She did not look up or greet us until we finally said “Hello”. Then she was helpful in telling us about the center and the hiking.
We went upstairs where there are some exhibits on Ohio animals, rocks, trees, etc. There is a bird watching room where the windows look directly out on trees, birdhouses, feeding stations, etc. There is a large room for children to discover, learn and play. There was a live snake, turtle, and bee hive.
There is an auditorium and several meeting rooms that can be reserved for use by groups.
The center hosts special events, classes, and learning opportunities for children and adults.
On the first floor is a wonderful gift shop for adults and children with everything nature oriented.
Outside there is a wonderful shelter for picnics or gatherings. There are several areas for hiking. The trails are easy to moderate in degree. They are gravel or grass or packed earth with a few bridges over creeks. (No rocks or roots to trip over)
This organization receives no government funding and depends on donations and private funding.
