This area is composed of mixed regions including forested and open fields. Quiet and generally not crowded.
You can literally get away from it all within minutes of downtown. There is parking available at the fairgrounds, just across the street from one of the entrence ways.
There are great areas to just ride, hike or treat oneself to a picnic. Also note that you can access the area from the OSU campus that's also a comfrortable ride from town and fun to explore, especially on the weekends.

This place is amazing. Great trails through the beautiful woods, with an array of wildflowers at least this time of year. It is a bit steep getting up, but there are switchbacks, and it is well worth it. Just a beautiful area to get some exercise and commune with nature.

Nice walking paths, paved and unpaved. Can bring dogs, on leash in some areas, off leash in some areas.

Don't let the proximity to Corvallis keep you away from Bald Hill. Even though it's a short drive, it is miles and miles away from the bustle of the city. Take the paved path form the parking lot and then ver left to the path which is a decent hike up through switchbacks and trees to the top where you have excellent views of the valley and the coastal mountains. Continue on down the other side and you'll end up at a very cool deconstructed barn.

We come here at least 2-3 times a week in most weather. With all the connections to OSU and parks to the west there are paths for all abilities and moods, paved and flat, uphill, long, short, open, wooded. An extra treat this winter has been watching the harriers cruising low over the big field by the asphalt path.

Great place to learn about the outdoors and animals with the kiddos. Rustic - there is an inside facility that I believe you can rent. We went there for a one day outdoor school.

Easy to moderate paved trail for scooting or biking or you can simply walk. There are also nice off the path trails with less human traffic. A good way to work off that capuccino and almond croissant with the affluent foks from Corvallis.

Great walking and bike paths. The views are worth the effort and this is a great family space. 5 minutes outside of the city but hours away from city stress and noise. A real gem for Corvallis.

Bald Hill is great, there are paved trails perfect for walking, running, or biking. There are beautiful views of the valley from the top, and benches along the way. And, if you go in late summer, there are tons of delicious blackberries along the trail.

This is one heckuva large, beautiful public space on prime real estate. Great to see the city set this aside for everyone’s enjoyment. Great berrying, so bring your tupperware. Had a fantastic picnic on the grass in front of the barn (facing the valley view). Perfect biking distance and path from downtown.
