This is a decent lake. Unfortunately there is an invasive weed clogging areas around boat launches and much of the lake. Holmes Road Park has sketchy people hanging out and broken glass in the parking lot, leading me to believe that break ins are a problem.

The lake is small enough to drive around in about 30 minutes, which we did at least twice. However, it's just big enough to provide quite a bit of fun. We parked at the boat launch and wondered the woods, watch ducks, saw tons of fish swarming around the docks, and watch a family of squirrels chase each other through the picnic area's.
We watched people on waver runners, and even saw somebody in a very small sail boat of some kind.
The area around the boat dock is certainly no place to swim considering all the seaweed and algae, but some of the other area's we stopped at were great for swimming.

there are parks and spots for the pubic as well as many private homes, it is a good sized lake and is lovely year round despite the name.

We were delighted to find a small and hidden beach for swimming nd sunbathing. It was within walking distance from the KOA at Devils Lake. This is a delightful lake with plenty of opportunities, to water ski, use a jet ski and all sorts of other activities like kayaking. It is a decent sized lake and very scenic and just a short drive from Lincoln City. Best of all the water is warm enough that it doesn't take 10 minutes to immerse yourself. Give it a try!

Park/campground access has no day-use. Road around lake seems to only lead to properties. Couldn't find access.

I always associate Lincoln City with this lake because it's one of the first sights one sees when entering the town. It's a very pretty lake with areas to picnic and to walk. It's pretty surrounded by houses so not very private but still a quiet retreat.

Sunny calm day so brought chairs and set next to little beach in the sand. Water was cool, but got used to it quickly. Nice people already there with small children enjoying the day. Watched boaters cross the water. Great day :)

No wind ,no rain sunny and cloudy skies,absoloutely gorgeous view of lake ducks and geese and boaters enjoying their families and the beautiful scenery

A very nice place with wild berries along the path, but know what your looking at before eating it..lol.. We took a nice long walk and loved everything about it.
