I am giving it a 3 because OP is a childhood memory and holds a place in many of our hearts but as an adult I don’t enjoy it like I did as a kid. It’s expensive and crowded and the last time I was there with my kids school it took over an hour to get on a ride. We were there four hours so my daughter got to ride 4 rides…..? Plus they are charging extra for some rides. The whole reason I got on to write a review is because the new-ish roller coaster is a huge concern to me and after the accident in (Florida?) it brought this to my mind. That roller coaster at OP does NOT have a shoulder strap and you start off going STRAIGHT UP. Of any amusement ride ever I’ve never been more scared. I could feel myself sliding. I can’t imagine how someone hasn’t slipped out. I won’t let me kids ride it. Seems pretty irresponsible to not have a shoulder strap. It is 2022 and it has been years since I was there so it is possible that they have corrected this by now but if not….. hang on.

I remember when rides used to scare you rather than make you feel sick. Line for race cars was too long. I would have tried a few more rides but wasn't feeling well after a couple, also a bit tired before I came thought getting out would help me snap out of it, but not those rides

I remember when i was a kid and oaks park was only like $10 per person, and now it’s almost $40 for adults? You also have to pay for certain rides even after paying $40 for your ticket, it’s absolutely insane

Disney World it is not- it is certainly more local and small scale but I think thta is the point. The retro rollar skating rink is perfect

I never knew that oaks existed until my wife found it when we were vacationing in Portland. We started with a train ride got unlimited bracelets for rides so that we could go with the kids. There were like no lines so it was awesome.
Not all of theEmployees were friendly but some of them were very nice.We also took advantage of the putt putt golf course and had A blast there.

Attended Oktoberfest and although it was extremely crowded, we still had a fun time. The activities were well planned and had something for everyone. Food lines and adult beverage lines were ridiculous so we chose not to go to the "big tent" for that, but they had other places for food and drink. Putt Putt Golf was expensive, but fun!

You can choose to ride rides or rollerskate here. It is set in beautiful grounds along the Willamette River. Take the small train for a charming ride. The Carousel and Ferris Wheel are both a must. New features being added all the time.

This was a great time! Kids had a blast. The adults had an even better time. So much fun with team building and Go Karts and Bumper cars. It was a great time.

I came here on 7/30/19 for the first time with my family. It was Tuesday buy one get one free unlimited ride bracelet day, and selected buy one get one free food items. The price was right but very crowded for a Tuesday. The park was clean and the staff was friendly.
About the rides, Carnival rides at best other than the purple coaster on the end. I think I road all of these same rides at the State Fair last year. They need new modern amusement rides. For the longest continuously running amusement park, you would think they could expand there park and get some bigger coaster rides like Six Flags or Silverwood amusement park has to offer. I would even pay more to have better rides in the park! I did not visit the roller skating rink during my visit. It wss closed for an event.
I stood in long lines for the concession stand for food. I had the 2 for 1 hotdogs and corndogs, I also had the curly fries, onion rings, and purchased a souvenir drink cup that had free refills. If you want to stand in long lines to get a refill. Very disorganized food stand. But the food was good though! I think more food options like sit down table service restaurant, or even a buffet which would go good. Something in the Dance pavilion would be a great place for a restaurant.
After receiving our food we found there was no place to sit. There was people just sitting at the tables not eating just sitting at them so no one else could take there spot, reserving them for birthday parties and families coming to sit down and cool off and have a covered place to sit and also a teenager hangout spot.
There shouldn't be any loitering at the tables so others can have lunch or dinner with famlies. Don't the park have security there and they haven't seen the problem there and all over the park with the teenage loitering???
They definantly need to either get more tables to eat at, or open the gates for the picnic tables in Area #1 the reserved picnic area across the railroad tracks when no reserved events are going on. We had to stand to eat our lunch because there was no place to sit.
I think if they stop the teenage loitering, the park won't become so much of a hang out if they charged a gate general admission fee like all the other parks are doing, instead of ride tickets or bracelets. Just 1 general admission price for adults and 1 for children. And play all day on everything eccept for the midway games, roller skating rink, Miniature Golf, go carts, and arcade that would cost extra as an add on with a park admission ticket. That way everyone pays and its not just another free teenager's hangout.
Parking was very hard to find too. Very small parking lot for an amusement park, And very old buildings with a kind of old 60's look structure. Like I said this park needs to be modernized and updated bad.
For what this park has to offer, don't waste your money and time, save it and go to Silverwood or Wild Waves to get better rides that are not carnival rides!
This place should be called something like Oaks Carnival Ride Park, not Oaks Amusement Park. There is nothing amusing about it here!

How many tickets does the roller coaster take for a ride?
Emily M
بورتلاند, Oregonمساهمتيْن
It takes 1 special Adrenaline Peak Ticket. Adrenaline Peak tickets are $9.95 each. It's also included on the Premier Ride Bracelet, which gives you unlimited rides for $40.95, as well as unlimited rides on all the other attractions.

When is their least busy time? Went there today, last day of long weekend. It was too crowded. even a line for bathroom. Had to run away.

It was crazy crowded this weekend because of the Labor Day Picnics happening. This weekend and the Fourth of July are their busiest. Any other time should be pretty good. They won't be open during the week for much longer, but the upcoming weekends probably won't be too bad at all.
