‪Although this train station is small, it has been restored beautifully. It is a handsome building and a great intro to Salem.‬

‪Coolest train station around‬

‪It's always fun riding the train and Salem's station is very nice, clean, bright, eclectic with historical artwork and the old world charm feeling. The Amtrak staff is always helpful, too. ‬

‪Don't expect luxury‬

‪This station is utilitarian. A good shelter from rain.....unless your boarding area is a hike down the tracks. Nothing special to recommend it. It serves its purpose.‬

‪Really impressed with the station and staff. Friendly and helpful. The train was delayed but kept informed. As a Brit, I was thrilled with the train itself, didn't have to haul heavy luggage as it was dealt with. Coach was comfortable and quiet, and announcements about buffet (food and drink), helpful and informative. I could have quite happily stayed on the train!‬

‪The train is always a treat to ride. Sometimes we get help with our itinerary from the counter person. And the station is not nearly as crowded as bigger stations. Always clean, too. We always look forward to our next rail ride.‬

‪I do not know what this was like before, but Amtrak really did a nice job updating this station, preserving its Americana charm. Staff is fantastic, which is not (unfortunately) the Amtrak norm. Clean, easy train access, soda machine and bathrooms.‬

‪Don’t waste time going as landmarks ‬

‪Omg. What a waste of sightseeing time. If your taking the train ok. Other than that dont go. Staff friendly thats it. Not even worth taking a picture. ‬

‪Small, and not full service, station‬

‪Convenient station that is small, clean and accessible. Not a lot of service available, but staff are friendly and efficient, and its location in the heart of town is nice. ‬

‪The railroad station also houses the Greyhound bus lines. The outside has been redone. and looks nice. The inside still has the original wooden benches. Nothing fancy. Not really worth stopping to see but a good place to get the train or bus.‬
