We love Cook Park. Plenty of parking. Their new toddler playground is neat. It is music-themed. There are paths all around the park. Leashed dogs are welcome. People go here for water activities in the summer too. The fields are often used for kids' baseball and soccer during the weekends, so it can be busy.

Hot day in Tigard. Found a nice picnic table under a shade tree and enjoyed take out from Hunan Pearl for my wife’s birthday. Well maintained park with mature trees and access to the Tualatin River for kayakers, etc. Well patrolled by police(saw two police cars in the two hours we were there). Bathroom was clean. A real treasure for the a City of Tigard.

I take my kid here to play at the play structures. They have multiple spots. From a little kid area, to a large area and another spot near a bbq area. Great place for a family picnic. Many restrooms that are accessible. I love the walking and running trails around the area. Great place to take your dogs (on leash) an just enjoy.

I refereed a high school girls soccer field here in October and found the field to be in great shape and a good location for a high school game. There are walking trails and a sand volleyball court and rest rooms and areas for picnicking in. A great little park tucked in by Tigard high school but beware of the mosquitoes if the weather is warm and humid!

We visit Cook Park frequently. Primarily to Kayak. Great place for family picnic. We also use the bike trail to ride into Tualatin. Many athletic fields, playground and tables. Located behind Tigard High School

We drove down from Spokane for my daughter to play in a soccer tournament and we were apprehensive coming to the area based on the crime we have heard about. “It wouldn’t happen to us” we thought. The tournament website stated they would have secured parking. Nope, they did not. Cook Park was wide open for our vehicle and several others to bust the windows out and steal with no one to pay any attention in broad daylight. Not one person had done the right thing through this whole mess. Don’t bother getting your windows fixed here either, the 24/7 glass companies don’t answer their phones. The pharmacy has their hours wrong so you can’t refill your meds from what the thieves have stolen. The tournament director has been notified and didn’t post anything for other parents (out of towners) to be aware of the thievery. The police had calls all day regarding this happening to people and not one showed up. There were over 20 cars that were struck with this. The car wash wanted $15 to use vacuums. How am I going to pay for that? I have no purse and after explaining what happened, they just wanted their lousy $15. No one in this town does their jobs. I wouldn’t even stop here for gas. So yes, it may be a beautiful park but only if you ride your bike in and don’t need any services. We will never be back.

We enjoy playing at Cook Park and the walking paths. Lots of fun toys for the kids. Good for a picnic.

Great outing for kids of all ages, amusement park and hot air balloons.

Watching baseball is always fun. Parking was a bit tight and the area around the field has very little shade. Didn't get to the trails or the river but next time we might try a short walk. Still a lovely place to spend an hour or so.

This is an amazing canoe and paddle sport place. The river is so smooth. We were able to get close to a heron. There’s a gradual launch into the river.

Standing at the cook Park pedestrian bridge looking at the train Trestle crossing the Tualatin. Anyone know what Trent the train schedule might be?
Could i get to cook park, and launch my kayak around 6:30am before the advertised 8:00am opening?

Cook Park does not rent kayaks themselves, but you can rent them from Tualatin Riverkeepers. The river is very calm with a slight current, so any level of paddler can enjoy them. You can Google them using 'cook park kayaks Tualatin river'
Keep driving back and left along the river until you find them. Here is the information about them. They bring the kayaks right to the river in Cook Park.
Cook Park Boat Rentals are open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Rentals begin at 9:00 am each day and all boats must be returned to the dock before 6:00 pm. Canoes and double kayaks cost $35 per boat for up to 4 hours and $10 per additional hour. Solo kayaks and SUPs rent for $25. Life jackets and paddles are included.
