No price can be placed on seeing my husband's face when he came back from the ENGINEER FOR A DAY experience. The one-on-one and truly driving the train was more than expected. The engineers are so personable...they love what they do and want to share with rail enthusiast.
If you have one of those persons who you can never think of what a great gift is...THIS is it.

Doc the engineer provided my brother the best birthday of his life- his words exactly. The Engineer for a Day experience was incredible and unforgettable. Afterwards, my family and I joined my brother to take a ride in the coach car. They brought him a birthday dessert, and we all had complementary champagne! What nice surprises, in addition to the scenic ride through the countryside. This was the best 50th birthday present I could ever suggest for anyone who loves trains. Thank you, Doc and everyone at Colebrookdale who made it possible.

Nice station, and cars I wished be longer ride on train. The reason I put 3 stars was given menu but never served actually 6 seats weren't served including ours. We were going order because my daughter wanted something to drink and eat.

We attended the Wine and Chocolate Tasting Event and then did the Irish Dinner. This Railroad just keeps getting better and better! We will be attending again soon to try out their new a la carte menu. The train cars are beautifully decorated and the staff is courteous and friendly. Thank you to all the volunteers who help this Railroad succeed.

The scenery was amazing! The train was decorated beautifully and took me back a hundred years. The staff was also very courteous and helpful. Being able to go out in the open car made the train ride much more enjoyable! I live in the area but I was able to see parts that I never new existed or saw before. It truly is a secret valley!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Cupid's Arrow trip. The people were wonderful and shared some history about the trains. A big thank you to our waiter. The French meal served wine pairings with each course which was a pleasant surprise. I only knew about the champagne with dessert. Absolutely enchanting! The smell of varnished wood, the craftmanship and details take you back over a hundred years. The charm of the past is not lost here! We can't wait for the next trip, so many to choose from.

Simply the finest train ride around. A 2.5 ride through the prettiest country you can imagine. The cars have been beautifully restored to their former glory. The station is a great place for pictures in the center of Boyertown, a cute little town in Berks county. We’ve been on many train rides up and down the east coast. This is the best.

This railroad claims to be about perserving the past but their actions do not demonstrate these sentiments. In a recent Facebook post, they advertised for the bed and breakfast formerly known as The Twin Turrets Inn, which used be a historically-accurate Victorian mansion. The new owners of this once stately building have tripped all character and historical feel from it. What makes me even more infuriated, the former owners who loved The Twin Turrets, donated $10,000 to the railroad a few months ago. This is how you repay Marianne and Frank?! I guess I shouldn't be surprised when you are constantly asking for donations and free labor. Speaking of free labor, one of your volunteers served my ten-year-old niece alcohol on one of the Harry Potter excursions because the adult beverages and the children's beverages had the same names. I didn't make a big deal of it at the time but now that I see your true colors, it is worth mentioning. You lost a loyal patron today.

This is an amazing historic train preservation that is first class! The restoration of the Edwardian Style cars is amazing as are the personnel who make your expedition memorable. We rode the Polar Express and Santa was terrific and very engaged with all the kids onboard. If you looking for a great experience or creating family memories, this is a must!

Our prices are available online via our website. Depending on when you ride, the seats you choose, and the date of your departure can effect the cost.

I would like to know the prices of the different cars to the train ride starting 11/17/18
Ticket prices vary by car and events. We recommend you check the website for descriptions of the trips offered that day.
I have a few family members who are of the plus size statur, will the seats accommodate? I also have a family member who uses a walker would this be a problem getting her on the train?
Hi Debbie! I would recommend your family members purchase parlor cars. They are more generous in size. If you choose to ride coach, our seats can accommodate plus size guests. But I would suggest they purchase our seats the same as they would when they fly. If they would be uncomfortable, they should purchase two seats. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. If you would like to discuss this further, you can call our office directly. And yes, we can accommodate a walker. In town there is a bed and breakfast, a couple blocks away from the train. I’ve never been there before but I heard it’s great. Besides that, if you wanted a hotel, your best bet is maybe Pottstown. They have a few hotels 10-15 minutes away from the train.

Want to surprise someone for their birthday. What tickets should I purchase? Is the Caboose private and what is inside? Should we see the dinner show or reserve the seats in the parlor car. I don't understand why the price is $5.00 less expensive for the dinner show car from the tasting of the parlor car. I would like it to be a romantic evening. Any suggestions and clarification would be helpful. Thank you!

What a nice gesture to surprise someone and do something special. What I suggest is calling the Colebrookdale railroad and speaking to them directly of your intended plans. The people there are very friendly and extremely helpful. Our group went on the train in the morning. Good luck and I am sure your romantic evening will be one to remember. By the way we did not get to go into the caboose. No one was permitted.
