‪We hiked the trail here and it was challenging and nice. We went into the center to use the facilities and get a restaurant recommendation. What a great recommendation!!. Very nice place. The PEEC has great staff.‬

‪We truly enjoyed the learning center with all the exhibits of preserved wildlife. We also hiked the Scenic Gorge Trail, a 2 mile loop. It was a decent workout, but one that didn’t deplete our energy too much. The only thing that would have made this visit better was being able to see the beaver lodge and bar cave that are set up in the center. They were not open to the public on the day we visited.‬

‪So disappointing I don't even know where to begin!!! I went on an Eagle watch tour this past weekend and was so disappointed in the entire trip even though we saw some Bald Eagles and nests. I thought as an educational center that I would learn more about the Bald Eagle but in fact this was not the case and some of the information that the driver passed along was incorrect. In addition, when asked questions about the Eagles the driver did not know. The least he could have done was research info on Eagles before the trip. Also the van we got in was quite high off the ground and there was no step stool or assistance from the driver to open/close door or assist when getting in and out. If it weren't for another man on the tour in our van my mother would of had to crawl in the van to get in. Towards the end of our trip (at Hawks Nest) the speed limit is a posted 35 mph but the driver was well over that speed and took his eyes off the road to look at a hawk and had to swerve back. On their website under the Eagle watch it states that you will travel to the Delaware Highlands Conservancy which we did not. Yes the trip was only $10 but I guess you get what you pay for. We got more information from the volunteer from Delaware Highlands Conservancy who was at the Zane Grey Museum then we did from our own tour guide.‬

‪PEEC is a year-round activity and education center run by the Renaissance man, Jeff Rozalsky, and staff who bring the environment and enjoyment of nature to thousands of children, families, and vacation travelers each year. As a newly-relocated resident of Dingman's Ferry in the past 3 years, I've become deeply involved in the annual Fall Harvest dining event for fund-raising, and working with Mr. Rozalsky to open additional trails through my property to compliment the PEEC campus acreage. A walk through the Welcome Center is a treat for children of all ages to explore a variety of exhibits, hands-on activities, and up-close examination of taxidermied animals and reptiles. The location reminds me of the grand adventures of the 1950s and 1960s for the Fresh Air Fund to bring inner-city children to the country to experience the wonder and beauty of nature. A huge thanks to Rozalsky and staff for keeping PEEC up-and-running during this debilitating COVID-19 saga.‬

‪Did a Sunday Labor Day weekend outing with our 2,4, and 6 year olds. PEEC is both literally and figuratively a breath of fresh air during these trying Covid times. Lots of different trails, from easy to more challenging. Staff at PEEC is very helpful at its visitor center to guiding you. There are maps for each trail, with information about the flora and fauna at each of the numbered stops on the trails. Picnic tables, parking, lots of taxidermy
and fossils inside the center. We did the trail
around the two ponds and saw canoers and kayakers; looked like equipment was provided gratis, with two attendants overseeing everything.
Kids loved the trail and the various colored mushrooms as well as the uprooted large trees, and just being in the outdoors on a beautiful day.Not terribly crowded when we were there at around 2:30pm.
Clean and safe with just about everyone very mask- conscious.
Definitely worth a visit when in the Delaware Water Gap area- with kids or without. But the kids truly enjoyed this outing as much as we did.‬

Thank you for your wonderful review! We're glad to be a place where people can get away and enjoy the outdoors. One note: The canoes and kayaks are only available during one of our scheduled programs, which we hold regularly throughout the warmer weather.

‪We were in the area looking for hiking trails (we typically plan ahead, but had not done that on this day). We saw that PEEC had trails so we took a chance and headed there. I really wasn't expecting much, figuring the trails would be easy trails geared for kids. We decided to hike the Scenic Gorge Trail to start. It was a very enjoyable trail, so peaceful with some changing environments along the way. Once completed, we opted to do the Tumbling Waters trail. This trail was more challenging and brought us to some scenic overlooks and a beautiful waterfall. We really enjoyed our time at PEEC. It is definitely worth checking out.‬

‪I’ve been coming to PEEC ever since I was very little. It’s a great place to go on a hike at any time of year (they have seven trails of different lengths and difficulties, and are currently connecting one to a longer loop). They also organize amazing camps and programs in science and excursions on the Delaware river as well as other organized activities like guided nature walks. The inside of the center is really interesting— they have a lot of taxidermy and bones and fossils to help you learn about animals. Kids will love the Ecozone! You can go in a bat cave and beaver hut and see a lot of cool animals. ‬

‪When we entered the center we were greeted with enthusiasm. We had particular questions about a trail nearby. We explored the area and did the hike, afterwards we were asked to complete a short survey to help them with their grant requirements. They are making all of us more aware of the importance of maintaining our parks for future generations. ‬

‪Three of us hiked the Ridgeline and Tumbling Waters trail on 4 Oct 2019. We are expert hikers and totally enjoyed all trails, which offered surprisingly varied terrain. The roped section on the Ridgeline trail was a 'interesting' roped segment - loved the challenge. Note to folks with height phobia, you might want to avoid that or go uphill (take Ridgeline counterclockwise). It will require pulling yourself up rocks and steeper terrain. Thee PEEC building has educational stuff and bathrooms, gift shop. Just wish the cabins were actually equipped for regular folks (kitchens, sink etc.) and not just for school groups.‬

‪Stopped for a picnic lunch, hiked a couple of trails, and visited the Center. The trails are varied, and offer nice spots to sit and rest or keep walking. Interpretive signs are informative and numerous. The Center is quite a neat facility, with lots of information and displays.

Picnic areas are sparse. This spot seems to be geared towards educational groups or casual overnight visitors, with lots of cabins to stay in. One review somewhere described this as a "hidden gem", so true. It's well off the beaten track, but very impressive. They seem very focused on their educational mission, which they are set up to perform well.‬
