Super cool place. Didn't realize the influence he had on so many things I knew. Tour was awesome by his daughter in law. Loved the time spent here.

The Frazetta Art Museum is a unique find -- and you don't have to know Frazetta's work (although you're likely to recognize some of it) or love fantasy art to appreciate the visit.
Frank Frazetta is credited as the godfather of fantasy art, and his work graced books, movie posters, magazines, album covers, and more. The museum contains many of his original paintings, plus sketches and other memorabilia that help to tell his story.
For $15 per person, we had a personal tour led by Frazetta's daughter-in-law. Then, we were given as much as we wanted to wander the gallery and admire the art. We spent about 1.5 hours in total.

Planed this trip solely on visiting this museum, and make sure the visiting days were from Thursday to Sundays from 10 AM to 4 PM. It was worth the 6 hour trip as I’ve spent close to 1.5 hours , gazing at all the artworks, sketches, and got a private tour as well by Lori.
Also, we bought one of Frazettas art books that was signed by Frazetta Jr.
Another bonus was getting his latest 2023 Calendar at the shop.

This was such a great experience. It was incredible to see his works up close and to learn more about his life and career-- told in a tour by his family, no less! Beautiful collection of works by a truly remarkable artist. The museum offered lots of unique retail options too, which we were excited to bring home.

If you are familiar with the artwork of Frank Frazetta at any level you must visit this museum so you can see many original paintings in full size and detail. The tour guides are family members who will give you a lot of detail on a short tour, then leave you to examine each work at your leisure. I could not count the number of paintings, sculptures, and drawings, but one could easily spend a few hours there. The experience is well worth the admission fee, the most devoted fan as well as the least knowledgeable of Person will gain an appreciation of the artistic influence Frazetta had , but also the breadth of his portfolio beyond the well known movie posters and book covers. The museum will s located on the grounds of Frazetta’s modest and charming building property not far from Stroudsburg, PA.

What a find! Obscurely located in Pocono mountains, the Frazatta museum holds the iconic memories of generations of science fiction fans. From Heroic Comics in the 50's, the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs covers, to Lord of the Rings, and Master of the Universe inspiring beasts and heroes, Frank Frazatta's genius is evident and awe inspiring.
Hopefully the family can one day reunite the collection and find a stellar location to allow a new generation to enjoy and love the fantastic art of Frank Frazatta.

Amazing Place. As a HUGE Frazetta fan, this place was a definite in my bucket list, and it did NOT disappoint. Amazing artwork, VERY thorough and professional tour, beautiful landscape, and had the opportunity to meet Frank Jr. Talk about an amazing experience! Can not wait to return!

For someone like my husband who loves Art...its worth the drive,worth to visit. Small but very well kept museum. As soon as we came in, we were welcomed by , the daughter in law of Frank Frazetta, She gave us a thorough, relevant informations about the museum,and the paintings.Frank's son fortunately happened to have a" live painting"that day and it was really awesome to watch.Merchandise a bit pricey but I still bought a shirt and a matching cap for my husband.Since he is an artist himself, being there gave him joy.Entrance fee is reasonable though....it will help to keep the museum going. Overall, it was a very good experience!

Ver la hermosa obra de Frank, sus fotografías y objetos personales, en un excelente entorno, ha sido muy gratificante.
Ha valido el viaje de 1:30 hs desde NY para cumplir este sueño.

Frank Frazetta revolutionized the art industry for illustrators.
As an art lover, I really appreciated my visit to this museum, despite my lack of love for fantasy/science fiction art. We probably stayed slightly less than an hour, not feeling the need to study every work of art in the room. All the art is in one large room.
It is a wonderful experience to be given a tour of the museum by one of the artist's own relatives. The guided part of the tour lasts maybe 10 minutes. Then you wander around at your own pace and focus on what interests you the most.
This museum is a hidden gem.

What is the closest airport to fly into to visit the museum? And how far away are the PHL airport and the New York airports? Flying from the west coast and trying to find the best price but I don't want to have to drive for 5 hours either...thanks!

I think the best airport by far would be ABE the Lehigh Valley Airport which is about 45 miles(a good hour) away. Newark(EWR) and Philadelphia(PHL) are major airport alternatives at about 80 and 110 miles away respectively. But both of these are big and in congested areas that could have traffic leaving them. 2 to 3 hours. You would probably want to stay at a local hotel in this area (East Stroudsburg or Stroudsburg, PA). I live only a few miles from Frazetta's Museum, and to be honest, even though I liked it, I myself would not travel far just to see this museum. But perhaps you are real big fans in which case it may be worth it to you! You may want to combine it with a visit to NYC, Philly, or the Poconos. I don't want you to be disappointed to come so far for this little museum which takes only an hour to see. Owners are very friendly, but close often, so check their hours. Good Luck!
PS: The Frazetta family also operates a costume store in East Stroudsburg that I would only expect to see in NYC or LA.
