‪Fabulous activity with family & friends‬

‪We had a great afternoon on the Mersey. Ian and the team were really helpful guiding our choice of boats and briefing us on the day. We took a rafted canoe and two double kayaks. We had a couple of nervous beginners but everyone loved it. Really recommend this as a fun outdoor activity.‬

‪I went to venture out at burnage Rugby club on 10 september 2023 great staff went to kayak down the river mersey was a 2.5 hour trip we all enjoyed would definitely be doing it again well worth the price keep thanks ‬

‪Fun afternoon‬

‪This was the second time we kayaked from heaton Mersey to chorlton with venture out. After a safety briefing, the 7 mile trip took us just over an hour and a half without stopping with some wind to help, but they recommend giving yourself around 2-2.5 hrs. Even though it's a city river, there is still plenty of wildlife to spot. The wier was fun! A great trip!‬

‪Amazing time.‬

‪Me and my boyfriend attended a short taster session today and we had so much fun! The instructors were all extremely friendly and I felt very safe in their hands. We had a small crash course in steering and we were on our way. We paddled up the river freely but with guidance. We then played a few games before a race and then paddled back to the starting point. There were a couple of capsized which added to the fun and then we were able to change in the small tent after the event. I only ended up with a wet bottom but I was prepared to be soaked. We had so much fun and are contemplating returning for the full experience. Wholeheartedly recommend.‬

‪Kayaking with Venture Out. ‬

‪I love kayaking and haven't been in a while, but no longer have a car, so wanted to go somewhere close by public transport. Venture out is in a relatively convenient location by Metro. You get there you're handed your paddle, vest and if you're kayaking a helmet. There is a toilet to use use at the start point. Then time to head out. Drag your kayak to the water and off you go. Now the reason why I have given 4 stars instead of 5, has nothing to do with Venture out, but the canals are just gross. I got an up close and personal experience of the smell, the shopping trolleys, tyres and everything else people have thrown in. If you ignore all that, it can be quite a nice route to Jacob's pub, few small rapid bits which are quite fun. The water is quite shallow at bits so if you're not careful you can bet stuck. If you're going make sure to wear clothes you don't care much, as you will bet wet.‬

‪School trip Greenend primary‬

‪Just been here on the Mersey to help out on school trip with my daughters class, and it was an amazing morning absolutely loved the experience. The staff are fantastic with the kids. I will hopefully be doing this again soon with the family 😊‬

‪Lovely trip down the river‬

‪First attempt at kayaking and we loved it. Travelled from Burnage to Northenden and tackled the weir which was fun but wet! Will definitely do it again.‬

‪These guys do what they do brilliantly.‬

‪This is a business who do what they do absolutely brilliantly. We did archery followed by a tethered canoe trip with a family group ranging from 7 to 70. Everything was so well organised, team members looked after us with professionalism and fun and I was particularly impressed with the archery instructor who gave hints and tips across the board but intuitively adapted things and focussed on supporting the younger members of the team to ensure they came away feeling like pros! The river trip was just brilliant fun. Gives you a whole new perspective of the city. Safety briefings were thorough and there was a lot of experience at hand, with newer team members being fully supported by experienced staff. Great atmosphere for all. Can’t wait to go again!!! We were very lucky with the weather but I would have loved this rain or shine and the centre worked with me on deciding the archery (which is under cover) due to the younger ones and how cold it was going to be. Just brilliant!‬
