Food is tasty but such massive portions that you are put off even before you start eating. Burgers topped with bacon and cheese in a massive roll with 2 large onion rings, chips, coleslaw and salad - way too much for one person. One main would have been enough for both of us. Would prefer smaller portions and pay a bit less.

Wonderful birthday meal - superb service and fabulous food. An extra touch was the surprise congratulations and decorated cake plate. Thank you so much - we will be visiting again soon :)

We have been to The Old School last night for the Saturday evening Valentines meal. As per previous review - you beat me to it ! - it was a wonderful evening. Gorgeous food, excellent service and beautiful finishing touches. The pianist was a lovely touch providing wonderful background entertainment. We are regulars to this venue but last night excellent. Well done Steve and Jo and everyone else involved for making a special evening. Thank you!!

Valentine's meal on the Saturday before. MasterChef... eat your heart out. Top notch staff, wonderful ambience and great beer. Oh yes... The food was beyond expectations. The pianist, Ian Mitchell, was velvet on the ears. What more could a bloke ask for? Will I return? Don't ask silly questions; of course I will.

Wow......I cannot thank you enough for making our day(,29th Jan) a fabulous day. From arranging our Tapas menu to the service and for the amazing food it was a banquet, and thank you to all your staff couldn't ask for a better day.

My friend and I drove for 20-miles to "make a day" of our visit. We could find nothing that resembled a Farm Shop and as for the Antiques Centre, when we enquired as to where it was, we were told that we had to telephone in advance to make an appointment and we would then be "shown around". This was not what we had in mind at all, as we had intended to 'browse'. The gift shops were clean, well lit and well-displayed, but the goods on sale seemed to us to be of the usual generic variety and we saw nothing that was particularly original or that shrieked 'Buy Me'.
However, having said that, the dining hall was much nicer and overall much more welcoming than it looked on the Website and the menu on offer was more extensive than advertised on the Website as well. The food was hot and tasty and arrived quickly and was delicious and the service was excellent. It was also very reasonably priced.
So, in summary - Good for a meal but for anything else, not so much.

We had lunch here yesterday, we were a party of 8, including a wheelchair, we had rung and asked for a table accessible for the wheelchair. The staff could not of been more helpful. Price of meals was very reasonable, all 8 meals were superb and everyone enjoyed them, the couple who had desserts said they were very nice. We Will definitely return.

Visited with a friend today, a warm welcome, varied menu and beautiful surroundings !
Lovely prawn sandwiches on fresh granary bread, salad, slaw and extra chips. Nice hot coffee and gorgeous Biscoff cheesecake for dessert.
Would definitely recommend to friends and family !

Stone cold dry scrambled egg, minuscule amount of smoked salmon.There were suspicious grey pieces in the egg but these were not burnt pieces, looked and smelled stale. My husbands breakfast looked stone cold, but he said some of it was warm. I left 75% of mine and when the plates were cleared no one inquired why. When I paid an outrageous amount for what we had been served, the girl asked if it was ok and I told her no it was cold and dry, her response was a whispered sorry. When ewe arrived we were ignored by several staff members, the young girls serving were polite and helpful. I also think that there should have been a priced breakfast menu available not just the waitress reeling off a list of what was available.
I am more concerned that the lady who served the food and the man who cleared the plates did not notice that my eggs looked dreadful, unless that is how they always serve them?
Not a chance of a return visit.

Friendly welcome and lovely, helpful staff. It was really busy, but despite that the staff were consistently kind, solicitous and speedy.
Sunday lunches were absolutely delicious. Vegetables nice and crunchy. My vegetarian tart was so yummy.
Desserts were really good!
Staff helped me retrieve my mum’s walking frame, which I really appreciated. Will definitely go back :-)
