If visiting Evans Head .. Razorback Lookout is a highly recommended scenic destination to visit .. as with the magnificent ocean & coastal views from the lookout
Across the road from the lookout , is a nicely maintained also barbecue & picnic areas .. plus public toilets
Finding parking at the lookout , has been a hassle , every time I’ve traveled up hill , to checkout the views

The whole of the beach and lookout areas an amazing. we just loved looking out over the ocean, watching the surfers and enjoying the fresh clean air. the water is so clear, and well worht a visit

A good place to get your bearing as from here on a clear day there are sweeping views of the beaches north and of town. Testing my aim, I tossed a coin in the marine rescue shute to help them out. For the energetic walking tracks lead to Joggly Point and Chinamens Beach.

This is a lookout that affords excellent views over Evans Head, and in the right season I believe you should be able to see migrating whales

The views from this headland are exceptional! We spent about 15 mins looking at the wires to the north and the massive beach that stretches out for miles and miles.

Located on the southern side of the river estuary and breakwaters, the lookout is easily accessed by sealed road or , if feeling energetic you can walk along pleasant walking paths to get here. There is plenty of parking, toilets and good picnic facilities.
The views both to the north past town and to the south along the national park are excellent.

Evans Head is such a beautiful area and there is no better way of seeing it than from Razorback Lookout. The lookout platform is located on the roof of the Marine Rescue and gives you commanding 180degree views from the headland to the bar and beach.
The day we were there it was blowing a NE gale and the sea was very rough. We enjoyed watching a wind surfer flying along through the surf at the beach.
Behind the lookout there is a nice little park with picnic tables, a Bbq, and amenities. There is also a huge anchor from by gone days, a reminder of the treacherous reefs and hazards which so often claimed ships in the early days.

A must see on your visit to Evans Head. Stunning views! The lookout had a BBQ area with shelter, plus scatteted picnic tables. It has a toilet amenities block as well.

Great views up and down the coast and well worth a visit. The beaches and area are beautiful in this area.

It’s a small beach town so you get everything there - there’s chemists and supermarket etc. dress shops and gear.
There is an RSL and coffee shops and fish and chips places and I am sure much more.
