Easy driving and seeing this place is a breeze - you just have to sit back and enjoy - there is quite a lot to see and everyone you pass gives you a greeting - visitor or resident - great feeling

Access to Black Rock is via a reasonable quality gravel road of 20 km length from the Pacific highway.
The campground is quite spacious, with 50 individual sites that are well separated located behind the sand dunes about 50m from the beach. There are good, clean amenity blocks, shelters and BBQs as well as a table and fire pit at each site.
We had site 19 which was well shaded: it is set back a little from the access road so in warmer weather the airflow was a bit limited.
The campground borders Jerusalem Creek which is good for kayakers and has a walking track adjacent to it leading to its entrance to the sea: however, when we visited it was closed as it was underwater.
When we visited it was jot and steamy as there had bee recent heavy rains: mosquitoes as well. Not so pleasant - worth another visit though at a different time of year.

This place is heavily. Beautiful views. Plenty of room for picnics and bbq'ing. Park at the lookout and take a beautiful walk around the headland with more amazing views.

Overcrowded in all holiday periods. Overpriced accommodation with rudimentary facilities (none at the back beaches) main beach always dirty sand and water especially after rain,. Bunjalung park just scrub and the ocean is dangerous Un patrolled and known for shark attacks.
Worst beach area on NSW Nth Coast,

Great walk
Easy grade, accessible for wheelchairs. Lots to see and many places to picnic
Animals
We saw wallabies, lizards and birds. Lots of plants to see.
WWII
Several concrete bunkers along the walk to see
Black rocks
The dark rocks along the beach are amazing, including the beach and several sand dunes to climb.
We went with a pack lunch, checked out the campsite there for future references, looked amazing. Beaware that the track along the river can become water logged on high tide. On the date of this review the park seems to be still not accessible from the north. I hope the council fix the footbridge soon, its been at least two years.
Definately going again.

I've been here many times over 30 years, always a great time. Camps are protected by the dunes, beach is open ocean and the sea can be a bit rough but interesting to explore the coffee rock and good walks on lower tides. Kids love it here, the creek is almost an all day activity except for sunburn and the dunes and rock offer lots for the imagination. Campsites are clean, fires permitted which is always a plus, birds, animals and wildflowers abound. Plenty of fishing too if that's your thing. Love it.

Spent a few days with my Son enjoyed the location the weather gods were not on our side though cut a day early. Beach is a long open one so surfing would be hit and miss. But plenty of wildlife and long beach walks.

The serenity of this place made it such a top little place to visit. Great for beach fishing, getting away from reception, playing a board game and salty toes! So many bush walks to enjoy as well and a launching place for kayaks or canoes. Very family friendly!

This beach has to be the best place I have ever been, isolated, hidden black sandstone caves, miles to walk, huge numbers of shells, fantastic bush tracks a tea tree lake. Just watch out for snakes!

Sorry I can't help you with your question.
As Anita suggested, give National parks a ring, they are the one's who should know.
