We have been enjoying Peddlers Village since 94,many interesting shops and eateries.From bakeries and treats to clothes and decor,and wineries.Pleasant surroundings.Make sure that you attend one of the many festivals like Applefest,really great vibe.

Love this little shopping town. I do all my holiday shopping here and it's a great weekend away, and only two hours away from our home in NY. Local restaurants are fabulous and The Golden Plough is a great place to stay. They always have great events on weekends and we love the fall as they have great scarecrow exhibits. Fun for all ages.

This visit to Peddler’s Village was a stopover on a long drive to the New Jersey hinterlands. I came mainly for the novelty of staying in one of the Golden Plough guest rooms secreted throughout the village. Honestly, I wasn’t keen to “do” the shops, recalling a Christmas visit some years ago that left me underwhelmed. Completely different impression this go-around. To begin with, the setting is really charming, the grounds beautifully maintained — much nicer than I remembered. The mix of merchants was good, too, I thought; I can’t think of any that disappointed — I discovered interesting things even in unpromising (to me) shops. Merchandise was well presented, also. In contradiction to some reviewers, I found the prices fair across the board. No, you probably won’t find bargains, but you don’t see gouging either. As for food, there seemed to be a good mix of offerings: pub/tavern fare, “bowls,” beverages, sweets, spirits …. (I didn’t have time for a meal, unfortunately.) To sum up, if you enjoy shopping, Peddler’s Village is well worth visiting. I left regretting I didn’t plan for a longer stay.

Wonderful and quaint to walk around. It was a very pleasant day with nice restaurants to select and lovely sand castles on display.

Tried to call few hours ago and women picked up phone in inn and said call back 20 minutes and hung up . When I called back few hours later she kept hanging up on my . When I finally reached her upon calling ten times she rushed me through conversation and then hung up on me again .
Very rude and discouragingly. I’m supposed to go next week and almost don’t want to go .

The Village General Store was exhibiting the Peep Show, but the staff was welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed the time there. Bought a book about Peddlers Village beginnings. We visit Peddlers Village a few times a year, different seasons, sometimes with out 2 pups and sometimes alone so we can enjoy more stores.

Cute little shops but nothing I would buy. Very big area, quite a lot of walking which wasn't a bad thing. Found it a bit it pricey. We didn't see the whole village. My suggestions would b to have beverage machines throughout and some souvenir shops with tshirts, sweatshirts at reasonable prices.

We go here every year for the Scarecrow Festival and the Gingerbread house display. It's decorated nicely for these two events. Lots of little shops to shop in and sometimes, you can get good buys on items they sell outside. it's pretty, really, anytime of the year. A few restaurants are available as well as a brewery, distillery shop, and winery shop. It can be very crowded though, especially at Christmas time, but we never had a problem with parking. There was one time where traffic was so backed up for a few miles that we just turned around and missed the Gingerbread house display that year.

Went to the frost and ice event. Little ones love the fire show. We all enjoy looking at all the ice sculptures we could find. Getting snacks and shopping is usually a highlight. I believe this event is only on two weekends. It was very packed. Only got to go in a few stores. Felt like we where at Disney - walking elbow to elbow. I understand this is an outdoor place but all the people walking their dogs was a bit much. They don’t pay attention and the dogs literally get tangled at your feet. I love dogs but would never bring mine to an event like this. I had someone catch me when a dog went one way and the owner another not paying attention and the leash was around my legs. Good thing we where shoulder to shoulder or I would have been on the pavement. I wish that some of these events would be during the week as well so locals could come when it’s not so crowded. As I said we only got in a few stores - I love to shop and wish I could have shopped more! We parked way out in a field too and people where getting stuck in the mud. Like having to call a tow truck stuck. If they continue to get that many people they definitely will need to rethink the parking situation as that was really bad.

There are several Restaurants around that do not rush you out. We had lunch at The Buttonwood Grill, and dinner at the Villagio Italian Restaurant. Our group chatted for quite a while even after the meals were done.Just let them know beforehand, so they will give you a table at the back of the room.

What's going on there the week between Christmas and New Year's, specifically that Thursday? The daughters-in-law and I would like to spend some quality girl time together. My husband and I were there last summer, and I know what's there during that season. It's 4 hours away, and we ladies don't want to drive up and be disappointed!

I just looked on their website, and I don't see anything special happening that week, except for the Gingerbread competition and display. From the site, it says, "Don’t miss the visual delights of our Gingerbread Competition and Display, featuring cash prizes in categories ranging from traditional to authentic reproduction of a significant building. Student and kids-only categories, too."

The shops are fine but the holiday decorations will be down by then AND it is open air, if it's a rough winter, it will be cold.
