"Where the ducks walk on the water". That's because they are walking on the huge carp trying to feed off the visitors.

Local here love the spillway travel 9 miles over to Andover Ohio across the causeway it's a wonderful vacation/camping area lots of activities and tons of places to eat, Tuttle beach in area has playground

Great place to visit and feed the fish! Haven’t been here in about 20 years. It has greatly improved since then. They have a large parking area, benches, bathrooms and a cute gift store! They sell loafs of bread for only a dollar.

I first visited the spillway about 40 years ago. We were in the area so we decided to check it out. Some things have changed since I was a kid. The original bridge that is still there but now behind a better bridge wall is crumbling. The area seems well taken care of. There weren't as many crowds there as I remember but it might have been an off day. The fish are still there and still as plentiful as ever. The ducks and geese still climb all over the fish to get bread and crackers and whatever else people throw in there. It was great to travel down memory lane again.

You can buy bread at the concession stand for $1 a loaf or "fish" food for $2 a sandwich bag or 3 bags for $5 or you can bring your own. They have a small gift shop, snacks and ice cream. There is also a small outdoor seating area . The bathrooms are very clean.

We’ve been visiting here since the early 80’s. The concession stand has bread you can purchase for $1.00 a loaf, along with regular food and souvenirs. There were a lot of geese close to the railways taking the bread. The spillway had tons of fish. Regardless of your age, it’s entertaining to watch the carp fight for the bread.

Have been to the spillway in the past & used to be chock full of carp. So much so that the ducks could walk on top of them, like they were walking on water.
This past trip had significantly less carp, and the water was full of bread they hadn't eaten.
Kind of gross.

There were plenty of carp, ducks and geese to feed. The ducks are pretty fast and at times were fed more than the fish. I have no idea how many carp are in that area, but wherever people were feeding them, they were there. Everyone around us was smiling and having a good time. If you're near Pymatuning, definitely stop by. You can buy bread or feed there if you forget to bring your own.

Fun for all ages. We've visited this place twice. The fish are so funny. We make sure we stop at the bakery outlet and get lots and lots of bread, buns and bagels before we go. We can spend an hour or more here just watching all of the fish. You have to see to believe. Fun for all ages. A must visit place if you are in the area

Upon arriving, the 10 year old says "I hope winter never happens here. These fish will die. They don't know how to find their own food."
Five minutes later, the 12 year old says "The fish don't get full. They're not smart enough to know when to stop. We should tell people to stop feeding them."
Next to us, an lady who has had her fair share of processed food throws in fist-fulls of basic white bread, and barks at her child to open up the pop tarts. THEY THREW WHOLE POP TARTS AT FISH!!
She proceeds to comment, "Look at all these big fish! How did they get so big?!"
Cue my kids wide-eyed, aghast, and completely ready to barf:
I don't think they'll be asking for pop-tarts or white bread anytime soon.
Gross. Just a nasty practice taking advantage of bird brains and fish brains that don't know any better. Can we at least give them foods they would find in nature? Make it a challenge for them to find the food? Something?
THEY AREN'T HUNGRY, PEOPLE! They are 20-40 pound fish eating probably five loaves of bread a day. EACH.
Go if you want. Maybe those are your kind of fish.

There is a small snack shop selling souvenirs, and bathrooms, also picnic tables in summer.
Are the fish active at the spillway in April or is it still too early?
