You could spend a whole day here looking at art and experiencing outdoor activities. There are bathrooms, 12 miles of hiking and biking trails, a playground, picnic areas, an art center, and MORE. The parking lot is a decent size. There is a variety of trails available per what you want to experience. Would you like to see the water, go birdwatching, look at holly trees, cycle, and/or hike? Trail maps are available. Staff is friendly. The facilities are sparkling clean.

We attended the annual nature festival for our first visit here, but it will not be the last. There were so many activities and mostly free. The only activity we did with a charge was the fish print T-shirt where they asked for a $5 donation to cover the price of the shirt. Great volunteers helping with the various activities. There were also several vendors and food stands set up.

If you have children, you must stop by. A wonderful educational center. The nature tour was wonderful. Staff knowledgeable and enjoy what they are doing. Come support this fine institution and sponsor a "hooter" while you are there.

Great art work display. Plenty of history and walking available. Great gift shop. Bring dog treats for the official greater Clara! Michelle and Emily were very helpful and nearly encyclopedic in their knowledge.

Went to see the Photo Ark by Joel Satare which was a bit smaller than we expected. Nice bonus was the Ned Smith exhibit. Wish the weather was nice enough to have been able to walk the trails.

Visited the Center to attend one of their evening outdoor concerts. The performers, Cruise Control and No Last Call, were excellent for this size venue. A group of 12 sat at tables on the patio. We were soothed by gentle breezes SANS mosquitos or other insects. There was a food truck available for food and a local winery had a booth at which drinks, by the glass or bottle, were available for purchase. The exhibits inside were well displayed and described. Overall, a very inexpensive but totally enjoyable evening. The hiking trails on the old railroad bed was peaceful and informative. Kudos to the staff!

Just outside Millersburg Pa Ned Smith Center offers hiking trails, concerts, art exhibits, a place for all to enjoy.

Been wanting to visit here for a long time. My wife and I really enjoyed learning of Ned Smith and all that he taught us of nature. The center is very nicely laid out and there are plenty of activities going on throughout the year.

Beautiful and serene - walking trails where you can meander through the woods and observe wildlife (birds and habitats), flowers and fauna (depending on time of year, of course). Be smart about bug protection since you are outdoors in the woods.
The art gallery is lovely and interesting to walk through and if you are in the area for a length of time consider taking in one of the many special events they hold fairly regularly. And don't forget to browse the gift shop - not big but some lovely items await.
Last Saturday of July is Nature & Arts Fest in Millersburg - great event!

Located just 1 1/2 miles from the town square. Beautiful scenery and many trails to walk on. Programs are offered at different times of year along with a vast array of entertainment.
