Hidden gem. Not everyone knows boxing but everyone knows Mohammed Ali. Training facility and camp restored beautifully. Pictures and audios make you feel like you were in that time. Mick was very knowledgeable and shared many helpful hints to make our visit great!

This is an amazing place of excellent preserved history. For the boxing fan, American historian, and spiritual person, you will feel the energy of this beautiful place. I got emotional as I walked, sat and posed for pictures in the very same spots that the great Muhummad Ali once did. The experience has created a desire in me to visit this site each year. Check out the videos of Ali here back in the 70s before you go and you will see just how special this place is. And remember, when you go into Ali's Cabin, look the light switch that he would turn off at night and be in bed before the room got dark!

Great little Gem in the Skook !! Wonderful little tour ! Great history !! A must see !! So much boxing history restored and preserved, Great stop when in the area.

My husband and I discovered Fighter’s Heaven while researching for things to do in Pottsville Pennsylvania. Fighter’s Heaven was the former training camp of Muhammad Ali from 1972 to 1980. We set up a tour with Mick for a short walk through of the camp. He was knowledgeable of the professional and personal life of Muhammad Ali. Mick also shared information about the layout, restoration, and the daily workings of the camp. After our tour was over we were encouraged to spend time in the various buildings. The buildings are closely grouped together making walking around easy and pleasant. In several of the buildings there are short videos to watch and photo albums to look through. A visit to the camp is worth the drive. Fighter’s Heaven is situated in beautiful rural Deer Lake Pa. We would like to thank Mick for our tour and his dedication to Fighter’s Heaven. Deer Lake is also a short drive (about 11 miles) to Pottsville where you can tour the original Yuengling Brewery which is the oldest brewery in the country.

Highly recommend. Whether you admire or are interested in Ali as a person or athlete, this is a fascinating, intimate place to experience. It has been meticulously restored, and with the pictures and videos you are transported back in time. Mick was welcoming and full of information. You are allowed to roam at your own pace to learn and sense why this place was important to Ali. Tucked away, so don't miss it.

Fighters Heaven is a must see place. The camp is carefully maintained and steep in history. It is a testimony of Ali’s commitment to training and life lessons. Thank you Mike for all the stories about the camp , I will recommend everyone come see it.

My husband and I were in the area visiting from Florida. I reached out to Mick to see if we could come on a Friday. Mick made it happen. Ali is one of my husband’s idols. I kept it a surprise and he loved it! Mick, Joe, and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic. So kind, helpful, and we heard some amazing stories! I highly recommend visiting!

My wife and I brought 13 members and seven Vettes in our Covette group to Fighter's Heaven today. Mick did a fine job at giving us a tour of the facilities.
All of us were brought back to those days when The Champ trained here and the nostalgia flowed.
This a great way to spend an hour or two at Muhammed Ali's PA training camp.
Try it, you be happy you did.

I traveled from Dallas, Texas just to visit Fighter's Heaven and I'm so happy I did! I've been a huge fan of Ali's since I was 10 or 11. Mick was absolutely amazing and Joe was a real sweetheart. I loved every single minute of my visit. I didn't expect to have such an emotional reaction to visiting the camp. I cried and cried and cried again. It will forever be a very special memory for me. I am sure I will be back! Sending love from Dallas :-)

We had the absolute pleasure to enjoy the magic of Muhammad Ali's training camp. Mick, the director, knows everything and loves to share the stories. Such a deep, personal and at the same time public persona. The more you learn about Ali, the more fascinating he is. We spent 2 hours in the glorious simplicity of mountains, log cabins and all things Ali. If you are a fan or just love history, please check it out. No entrance fee, but donations to non-profits of Ali's choice are welcome.

Hi, how is the best way to get to Fighters Heaven travelling from NYC without a car?
I am from UK so not overly familiar with transport in USA. Thanks

I rented a car and drove to Fighter's Heaven from Philadelphia. It was less expensive than Uber or Lyft, about 1/2 the price.
