‪Severe lack of customer service. Waited for an hour to check in. Room keys did not work. Asked for assistance and the hotel responded that they don’t have the personnel to assist even for people with mobility issues. Just ai text responses.

Also very bad place for food allergies. As a celiac, they said they are not invested in providing safe food because there is not enough demand for it.

The lack of personalization makes this hotel experience a 1/10. Skip it if you can.‬

‪So we thought we'd return to Kalahari Poconos for another visit. We drove out to the Poconos for a 4 hour trek from the DC area. Family fun on the horizon....at least thats what we thought

THE BAIT:

Upon arrival we waited in line and our attendant Wilson indicated that for $300 more we could upgrade our room to the 3 bedroom penthouse. So he charge my credit card $300 for the room and another $500 for the penthouse security deposit...(still less than the $1000 I paid for thr the big 5 last time)

THE SWITCH:

So Wilson gives me my keys/wristbands and then says...hold on I need those back. He then says I assigned you thr wrong room.

THE FAIL:

Well Turns out Ole Wilson assigned and sold us a room that wasn't available. He then goes and gets Madison the manager...and she says..."sorry the room isn't available bit youb should recieve a refund in about 2 to 3 days." So I'm out of $800 before I even get in my room. I asked her is that all she could do..she replies with "Yes I will speak with Wilson afterwards " End of conversation.

Please Kalahari management, help me to understand how you put a hold on $800 for a family's vacation and can be so insensitive. There was never an apology...just "THE room isn't avaialble" They then gave me my new wristbands and didn't even tell me where the room was located. Maybe a wave..or a get tbr he'll outta here would've been more suitable..I digress

Next time I'm traveling here, I won't pass the Perryville exit in Maryland for the new Great Wolf lodge...because surely ANYTHING would have been better than this....Happy Memorial Day..I'm sure if your reading this it has to be better than ours so far!‬

‪This was our first family trip that included everyone!!! we checked in on March 12 for an overnight stay. We had the Big 5 room, which was outstandingly beautiful, clean and very top of the line.
The process of singing in and the billing is HORRIBLE!!!! First, they gave us the wrong wristbands so we couldn't use them to pay for things. Spent over an hour trying to get that fixed. All charges/billing just went down hill from there! I have been double charged for MANY things!!! We spent thousands of dollars and they just keep billing things on my charge card! I am exhausted trying to keep up with them.
One example, we received 10 towel at the water park and RETURNED all 10, I made sure of that and did it myself. They charged me $254 for not returning my towels!!! Then they issued a credit, then today, they re-charged me even after looking at the video tape and seeing I returned them!!! They agreed they were returned but keep adding things to my bill! Double charging for food when it was already paid.
We loved the park, the kids had such a great time. I am still battling getting well over $2000 in extra, unwarranted charges. Wish me luck!‬

‪Recently, I had a very confusing time trying to book rooms online for a family birthday party at Kalahari Poconos for a granddaughter. Since I'm no genius on a computer, I make mistakes. Kalaha was very forgiving regarding refunds for the errors that I made. I'm very appreciative of their kindness, compassion and understanding that they showed to me. I look forward to many more family gatherings at Kalahari Poconos in the future. Thank you Kalahari.‬

‪Room was great I love the free food and trash left In my bed phone was stolen and when I told the people they told me that I don’t have a phone but I was mobile Angelica I love how were so rude cause I took over five seconds to tell you what I want for food

‪My wife and I took our 3 grandkids 7,9 and 12 midweek. The first day was nice because the lines were short-the second day was a Thursday and NJ schools were closed so the lines were longer. Place was tastefully decorated and well thought out. We were able to upgrade at check in to a 2 room suite for $100 and was given $50 arcade cards. We ate outside the hotel so can not comment on food-except it was expensive!!!!! Overall we had a great stay!‬

‪Last trip for kiddos before school starts.We stayed for 3 nights 2BD/2BA/LR Suite Thursday-Sunday. Well what a big mistake! Checkin was a disaster. I even pre registered to no advantage. I checked in at kiosk and swiped my card for the remaining balance and the hold. After that was processed it asked some additional questions and then it said to see a desk assistant. I waited in line patiently for 30 mins to speak with someone. Once it was finally my turn I explained what happened at the kiosk and Jay who was very nice assisted me with the checkin process. He mentioned that he didn't see anything in his system showing that I paid the balance or the hold. Eventhough I could see it clearly being processed with my bank. I even showed him proof, so he continued with $1 that they run through your account and checked me in. He mentioned that if they don't see the payment they will give me a call the next day. Well I never received a call or text the next day. Then I noticed they changed the amount of the balance and the hold. I went to the desk the night before we were leaving to makesure everything will be adjusted. There was a nice young gentleman there (I think his name was Alex he just only been working there a month) that had to get assistance as he wasn't sure what was going on as he noticed something was off. I was reassured by the nice lady (the only one I noticed that wore mask) at the desk it will be taking care of and I will be billed the correct amount after checkout. She apologized (of course) and said she would speak with their billing team. Well guess what they billed me twice for the room!! I reached out to them and was told to speak to the Billing department. I spoke to a lady (9am EST Tuesday) who say to give her an hour to look into it further as she only see one charge in her system. She never called me back. I gave her some time and call her back (2pm EST Tuesday) and operator/receptionist said Billing department isn't here today...Hmmm then who did I speak with earlier so I was transferred to their Billing department voicemail and I left a message. After I left a message I called my bank to file a fraud claim as there is something fraudlent really going on here that's not be acknowledged. My bank can see all of the charges along with Kalahari's transaction IDs. It is a shame that it had to come to this and Kalahari Poconos aren't trying to investigate the situation. No call back or anything as of now. I will also be reaching out to corporate headquarters. Otherwise the the food (Cafe Mirage) was expensive ($42 large mushrooms, sausage and bacon pizza) and didn't taste good. Now I don't mind paying for food that tastes good, but it is a resort so be ready to pay. There are other options in the area if you want to drive. The best thing they had was the refillable cups that my kids could fill up with icee, soda or lemonade. Running an operation at this size you will never satisfy everyone. Waterpark was so so nothing to write home about. My family and I will not be back. Will give an update here or on my social media pages on how the extra charges are handled.. if they ever respond to me..‬

‪First timer to kalahari indoor waterpark. We booked a resort and it was good .. rooms were spacious and very comfortable . Cost of the water park is a little more than all other parks . May be worth just once . Good and other things are very expensive inside ..

Waterpark wise , it was good. We loved the wave pool 🌊 all the rides were good . Kids loved it . Lazy river was good and the splash zone was kids favorite . Again, I thought it was expensive /.. wish it was cheaper . Lots of parking outside and located in the heart of poconos . Loved it overall if not the the price …‬

‪We stayed at Kalahari for a week for a dance competition and it was great. Staff were so nice and helpful. I would text Kalahari with questions during out stay and they would text me right back. Waterpark was clean. We went during the week so we found seats easily outside at the pool and inside at the waterpark. The Taco Truck outside by the pool had delicious tacos. The best thing we did is buy the ELEPHANT water bottle that included free refills all week with soda and slushies. There were a few restaurants and they were crowed at dinner time. The rooms were typical but included shampoo, conditioner and body wash in shower. Kalahari is huge so be prepared to walk. Our room was the furthest from everything so sometimes we would walk outside to get to places since it was easier than walking through the hallways. Once we left our room, we didn't go back till the night LOL‬

‪This review is written on my vist to the sandusky location. First we drove 3 hrs to get here. I immediately wanted to leave it was so busy and disorganized there were no clear lines for the water park. Check in waS easy. FIRST we stand in line for about an hr because there arent enough tubes for the amount of people also it is advertised as 4 person rafts when it is only 2 person rafts. THEN to top it off there is a giant scale that they make you stand on to tell you if you are too fat to ride the rides your weight is displayed for everyone to see. ANd that means that 2 adults of normal weight cant even ride together so we had to ride an entirety different ride than what we stood in line for. WE decided to leave after that and go home. THE highlight was travis he was wonderful and made sure we got reimbursed all of our money for 4 people . Shout out to travis!! The MVP of my day.‬
