We did not stay in cabins. I am not even sure if the state park has manpower to perform the deep cleaning and disinfection. If you really want to stay knowing that coronavirus is not likely to survive on surfaces long term - there are some arrangements you can make. You could ask for a cabin not occupied at least for a week prior to your arrival - the viral particles would not survive that long without a host. Bring the air spray and lysol wipes and make sure the ventilation is appropriate. Keep windows open if possible and weather allows. You can also bring a portable hepa filter unit. That clears 99.97% of potential viral particles from the cabin.

I could be wrong but I think it's because when the lake was made they condemned land and underwater are roads and remnants of buildings, and such which are dangerous. These items could cause harm when swimming. The fish like it but not good for people!! There is a swimming pool at the park for swimming.

You are not allowed to swim anywhere in the lake. They do have a beautiful inground pay pool.

You definitely need a launch permit, even for inflatables. They can be obtained at the park office. If you don't have one, you can be fined by a ranger.

Yes, there are limited amounts of charcoal grills available on a first come-first served basis. You can also bring your own charcoal or propane grill. We ask that you use the hot charcoal disposal bins when you have finished grilling and do not place hot coals in garbage cans or dumpsters. Enjoy!
