Beautiful and unique glass pieces. If you want an one of a kind glass piece or piece of glass art, this is the place to go. Super friendly owners. They will even let you watch the glass blowing in process if you go at the right time. A must visit if you are in the area--you won't be disappointed!

If you like Art Glass this is the place to go. You will find their stuff in various shops across the country. However before the holiday they open to the public and you can get deals on pieces. We have several in our house. I would possibly call them to get on their mailing list. Their pieces also make great gifts.

Stop in and say hi to Joel and his big friendly dog. I have shopped here and taken glass blowing classes. A super fun place to be. The prices are good and the glass is phenomenally good.

Spectacular, one-of-a-kind custom made glass vases and lamps. These artists have more talent in their little finger than most glass making artists have in their entire body.

Received this as a gift certificate Christmas 2014 for two people to attend a class. Redeemed the gift certificate for one of their ornament blowing classes.
Since the studio is a bit of a distance away, we stayed overnight at the Inn at St. Peter's. Of course, being that we had to travel, I left the gift certificate at home (which I realized as we unpacked).
The people there are nice and good at what they do. When I explained that I had forgotten my certificate, she was able to look it up and we were good. The class we took had an additional surcharge, which was paid there.
The studio itself is in a huge warehouse-like section. Even though it was december, the big garage doors were open. Before we started, there was a safety lecture and an introduction to what we were about to do. After that, it was dive right in!
We were divided into two groups, our group had 4, and we went with Kevin. We progressed in pairs, one person handled the glass, the other person blew. Kevin oversaw what we were doing and would coach us "Turn a little slower" "Blow more evenly" "Watch where you're going!" (actually there weren't any near misses, I think we all were very respectful of the 2000+F glob of molten glass). He helped us with different techniques - adding the frit (colored glass bits) at the beginning vs the end for different color effects. Cutting the glass with heavy scissors then re-melting it. How to turn it to get different color patters, like stripes and swirls.
When we were done, we had a nice collection of ornaments. They were put into kilns and allowed to slowly cool over a couple days. You have the option of picking up the finished pieces or having them shipped (for an additional fee).
If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend it! Heck, make a weekend of it and stay at the Inn. We're trying to decide if we want to do another ornament class or something else.

I received a gift certificate to Glasslight from my daughters for Christmas. I spent the day under the direction of Joel Bless, a true artist. I made four unique and beautiful hand-blow glass pieces. Joel was the perfect blend of coach, teacher, and friend. I worked in a small group and had his constant attention and protection. I learned so much, yet at the same time became a true participating artist. Joel's studio is in an ideal location. St Peters Village is a beautiful spot. Our class took the full day, and I will relive the experience every time I look at the beautiful pieces I made. I came away feeling like a glass artist.
