‪It was great for me!‬

‪We were in town for one evening on my birthday eve and staying nearby. We had done the Cliff Walk, gone into town to eat dinner and on the way back to our hotel and wanted a nightcap. Seemingly it is difficult to find a place to ave a drink after 10 in Newport but we found this place and stopped in. is place what I would call affectionately a "dive" bar but the service was good, the drinks were good and the other patrons were friendly. We played a few darts and all I know is whatever the combination that put my spouse in such a great mood, we had a truly great time.‬

‪This pub was close to our accommodations so we stopped in one night for a few adult beverages. It is assuredly a locals joint with a band stand, pool table and deck facing Easton's Pond. The number and selection of brews on draft was limited so I ended up with a Dogfish ale while my wife chose a Blue Moon. Prices were relatively steep so I doubt we will be returning.‬

‪We want for a late dinner at this pub - restaurant, the food was descent and we got the check. I payed with a credit card. A few days after, I saw on my CC statement that I was charged 20 percent more with out telling me about it. If this is a way to ask for a tip, they should say something about it. (I did leave a 20 percent tip in cash).
Not cool at all. ‬
