This is a not opened to the public hidden gem off 170 and Robert Small Parkway. Google and their address takes you to the wrong locations.Their driveway is beside Advance Auto Parts, go to 54 Robert Small Pkwy instead and you will see the drive with two eagles on the side the Advance Auto Parts. There is no trespassing signs and Private Property signs. It’s run down and I’m sure has a history that is untappable due to this property becoming private. Still was a fun photo opportunity.

Здесь сохранились исторические здания, в том числе особняк, раньше здесь производилась продукция, продаваемая на местных рынках. Сейчас по определенным дням они также устраивают рынок, со свежими продуктами, катанием на пони, сувенирами, можно заказать экскурсию с костюмированным гидом

Enjoyed our tour of Pickpocket plantation with our tour guide Ashley with The Spirit of Beaufort. She is quite the storyteller and our group really enjoyed her stories. The Pickpocket has a stable where the locals can board their horses, so we got to see some beautiful horses and the kids that ride them. Well worth the visit.

Pick Pocket Plantation is sort of hidden behind an auto parts store. It took us three-quarters of an hour to find it.. even using GPS. So, imagine our chagrin to discover it's no longer open to the public. Don't waste your time... all you can do here is take a picture up the long drive. The view is pretty, but not worth the effort.

I almost did not find this jewel. What a beautiful house and piece of land. The driveway was hidden and I went past it a couple of times. They also had a little farmers market set up in front of it. Too bad its so hidden in and hard to locate

This small plantation is a delight to go through. It sits back from the street and not easily seen, but we called and found out how to get there. We had a delightful docent give us a tour, and she had a unique insight into the house that she remembered visiting as a child. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of this home and the grounds.

The plantation was hard to find and the only activities that I could see was a man pulling a train for kids to ride in. It appeared to be a working farm rather than a tourist attraction. Don't waste your time.

Pick Pocket Plantation. What can you say? Those of you who expect to find a grand ante-bellum mansion in the midst of manicured grounds will be sadly disappointed. The house, which appears to date from the late 19th or early 20th Century, is undistinguished. It may once have been home to a prosperous farm family: but to suggest that it has any link to the Old South or was otherwise the centerpiece of a grand agricultural enterprise is quite a stretch. The furnishings are equally undistinguished. Many appear to have been picked up in yard sales, have indeterminate pedigrees and could more appropriately be called old-timey-looking kitsch. Beaufort has many homes to visit that are of historical or architectural interest. Unfortunately, Pick Pocket isn't one of them.

It is difficult to find, since both Google and Apple maps don't have it in the right location. The farmers market was 8 stands: aromatherapy, soap, plants, ice cream, bread, peanut butter, and vegetables (but only 6 varieties). Nothing else interesting, no tour of the house, which was smaller than one would have thought.
