I have been snowbirding here for some time now. Passing time visiting the thearters, and I must say Stone Grand 14 at Market Commons is my favorite. They make the experience wonderfull, from buying tickets to the welcoming greeter on the way in. they have a senior tray with popcorn and a drink for a great price. Been in many of their thearters, all very comfortable seating with great arm rests. Can't wait to go back their prices are very afforable.

The theaters at Stone Theatres are large, spacious internally, and inviting. The seats are not uncomfortable although, unlike their competitors, they are not as roomy, reminding one of flying coach in airplanes nowadays, many more seats are cramped into their rows than their local competitors, and moreover, they do not recline. Unlike some of their competitors, here at Stone you cannot buy specific seating in advance you cannot purchase specific seating at the box office either, so therefore, if you have a seat preference, it is imperative that you arrive at the theater early which is what me and mine did yesterday, Monday, February 22, 2021, for the 1:15pm showing of the just released film Nomadland (which won the highest awards at the Venice and Toronto film festivals) in Stone Theater's theater #14.
And were it not for the following, all of the aforementioned could have been eclipsed. The movie previews appear on the screen. There are two separate advisories: the first advisory is to turn off all of your electronics, explaining that cellphones and texting are greatly distracting to other movie patrons and so, please, turn them off now.
****The second advisory and in all of my 67+ years on Planet Earth, this ever curiously marked the first time I had ever heard/seen this critical, key advisory being presented on the screen to the movie viewing audience: Please. NO TALKING during the course of the movie folks. It is greatly distracting and discourteous to everyone trying to watch the film.****
Sadly, 4 or so rows back from where we were sitting, a well dressed middle-aged woman and a gentleman sat, and she was rarely, silent, throughout the entirety of the 2 hour movie. Twice, I had to turn around and give her the death stare, but the results, sadly, were too short lived. At one point, exasperated toward movie's end, I stated loudly for many people in the theater to hear, "Unbelieveable," and then "the rudeness," and, within minutes, thankfully the movie had ended, we were out on the street again, on our drive home, me foreswearing never to return to Stone Theater, on the oft chance of encountering her again.
Was it mental illness that led her to seemingly be giving her supposed husband/male companion a verbal, blow by blow recitation of the film's activities as they transpired - over a near -- 2 hour long movie? I don't know.
What I do know is that the experience soured me on ever returning to Stone Theaters at Myrtle Beach, given the likelihood, the possibility, that she frequents this theater and her conduct - stands unchecked. My sympathies given her conduct do go out to her husband or otherwise companion at this film, although knowing her behavior, why was he subjecting the innocent public to her uncontrollable nature? Shame on him, too.
Had a Stone usher/representative even so much as entered the theater, and silenced an incessant talker such as she, we would have experienced a tranquil theater experience which is what we believed we had paid for and deserved.
Granted, Covid-19 has, like so many other industries worldwide, devastated the movie theater industry, and they are understandably part recipients of the Nation's Stimulus bailout packages designed to mitigate the economic devastation which they are and have been suffering. And, Stone Theatres has taken many health-related measures to protect the movie going public in keeping with the CDC guidelines.
Yet what is far too easily overlooked by corporate (and by this, and any theater, for that matter) is that people will not be "return customers" to a theater if they are subjected to the aforementioned type of disturbing and upsetting experience when, alternatively, they can stay home in the comfort of their own homes and view world class films on Netflix - without being subjected to -- unchecked mental illness or otherwise incessant, rank unchecked talking in a movie theater, leaving the public no alternative but to vote with their feet (and their wallets!) and go elsewhere for their entertainment.

Handicap parking is far & few in between. Quite a ways to walk if using a walker, cane, or wheelchair. Especially during in-climate weather. Theater itself is spacious and clean. Matinee Senior price was only $6.89. A pretty good deal.

I'm kinda picky as almost every theatre will have something wrong but this place was fantastic! From a technical side the picture was great and the sound was perfect. Not every theatre keeps the AV calibrated but I was happy with the picture and sound. Volume was as it should be, not over loud.
The place was clean, food was good and the prices are in line. I will be back!

This theater is located in the Market Commons area of Myrtle Beach. Plush seating, good viewing from any seat and reasonable prices for seniors make this a fun place to view a movie. A very good concession area greets you before you go into the various movies. Prices for concessions are a bit high but this is a modern movie theater. Overall, a very good experience with various shopping and restaurants to go to either before or after your movie experience. A fun night!

Although we still enjoy coming to Grand 14 to see current movies, I find it very disappointing to see that maintenance is badly needed. On several recent occasions, some of the mens’ toilets were out of order, and having seen two movies on consecutive Sundays, the same mens’ urinal being out of order does not seem to be an acceptable situation. It should not take that long to get it fixed.

While visiting Myrtle Beach my wife and I decided to see a movie at Stone Theater Grand 14. We purchased our tickets and entered our theater. It was huge. We always sit in the back so we had quite a hike to get to the top row middle. The seats were comfortable and we enjoyed our movie. Great theater.

Wanted to see a movie and although there is a theater in Myrtle Beach we chose this at Market Common - further away but good choice. Before the movie, if you have time, you can check out the shops at Market Common, or have something to eat. If not make popcorn your lunch. Not bad! The theater is clean and has several choices of movies to view. Worth the drive if not close to where you are staying.

We were looking for something to do on a rainy afternoon during our vacation. We went to eat lunch at Nacho Hippo and saw this theatre close to Nacho Hippo. We took our 6 year daughter to Lion King. The theatre is very nice and very clean.

It depends on when you plan to go. Afternoons are usually a few dollars cheaper, about $6.50. Evenings are about $9 but since I always get the senior rate of $6.25, I am not exactly sure what the full price tickets cost.
