My wife has been wanting to try paddle boarding for years. On our recent trip to the Myrtle Beach area we decided to give it a try. This was our first time, so we had no experience or prior knowledge of paddle boarding. Trent and Meghan were excellent instructors. They stay with you the whole time and give you pointers as you go along the river. They have a passion for what they're doing, and it shows in their service! They even take pictures during your time and email them to you afterwards and no additional cost! If you want to learn to paddle board, use Carolina Waterman and support their mission to help kids in their area. I highly recommend them and look forward to our next visit to the area when we can paddle board with them again!

This was my first time paddle-boarding and I could not have chosen a better company. Trent and Meghan were great instructors. I would now feel comfortable getting a board and going out again.The trip was very scenic.

We had an amazing time paddle boarding with Trent and Meghan from Carolina Waterman! They were both so knowledgeable of the flora and fauna in the Myrtle Beach region. We learned so much and had a magical experience. I highly recommend booking a lesson with them. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, Trent and Meghan for making our paddle boarding adventure the highlight of our trip!

What a wonderful time! This was our first time paddle boarding and Meghan and Trent were excellent! They were very knowledgeable of the areas ecosystem and were so much fun! The kids and I had a blast! The 2 hours flew by!

The whole family had an excellent time surfing with the guidance of Trent and Meghan. Well worth the instructional time and the extra hour to hang out on the waves.

If you are looking to Paddleboard while down in Myrtle Beach I highly recommend Carolina Warerman. It was me, my Husband and five kids. We toured the Waccamaw river. Trent and Megan were fun, personable and informative. We had play time and even attempted headstands. My Daughter stated that this was better than any paddle boarding trips we have done in the past. We have used other Paddleboard tour companies and went on the ICW. The waterway can be rough and lots of boaters. The waccamaw was absolutely beautiful. So even if your a seasoned Paddleboarder the tour is very nice as they know a lot about the area. I would give Carolina Waterman five thumbs up and would use them again next year.

Trent and Megan were very friendly, professional, patient, safety oriented, and skilled at teaching my family to surf. When booking Trent informed us about high tide time for the day and we pick our time slot. We rented the boards for another hour after the lessons and they continued to give pointers and surf with us. Trent and Megan are good caring people to work with. We highly recommend them!

We checked out other paddleboard companies and found this one to be the best. It’s an awesome eco-tour that they offer and you will learn a lot. Highly recommend over others

This was our first time paddle boarding and what an experience! Trent and Megan were truly amazing! Not only were the great teachers, but they truly cared about the river and the environment. The highlight of our trip was watching Megan and her youngest son Brady do headstands on the paddleboard. We will definitely be back and would recommend this trip!

The paddle boarding is it easy to learn
Absolutely! It is so much fun for all ages! We spend time giving instruction about safety, proper paddling technique, and then accompany our guests for a 2 hour paddle through the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge.

That really depends on personal preference! Our favorite time for lessons is usually 2 hours before - 2 hours after the high tide. Mornings usually have calmer winds and nicer weather though! Mornings for sure!

Hello All,
I am wondering if there is a better time of day to try SUP for the first time. It will be my family of 5 (4 on boards, and the youngest-5 years-riding). We plan to be in Myrtle Beach -from Wisconsin- this month, so not a lot of time left to decide...any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

We chose 10am start time. The temperature in Myrtle beach this time of the year is less than 80 before noon, and gets hotter (feels 85-95) later in the afternoon. Given that you are from Wisconsin, 10am slot may be better. Depending on where you stay, it may take anywhere between 15 minutes (Myrtle beach proper) to 45 minutes (North Myrtle beach) to get there.

We ask that all of our nonresident visitors pay our various programs. While we do provide gear, we don't discourage people from using their gear. When non-residents pay for our programs they are supporting free programs for Horry County residents!
