We love to visit North Myrtle and the gorgeous beach. The beach is clean and inviting. The ocean water is so warm and family friendly. The beach crowd is always a wide range of ages
from seniors to babies. Everyone is
friendly and courteous. The beach is well patrolled and maintained. My family tries to visit one or twice yearly. Our favorite time is the end of August when school starts for everyone. This makes the beach less crowded and
more comfortable. The sunset and sunrise are beautiful. Great beach.

So much to do and see on Main Street from the Thursday night block party with food, drink and music to the Arcade and many restaurants

I moved to the Ocean Drive beach area of North Myrtle Beach almost a year ago. I have lived in 11 cities in FL, and near several NC beaches. I couldn’t be happier living here.
The beach here is lovely. There are beach accesses at every street. Beach accesses offer parking and some have bicycle racks, hold cart parking, bathrooms, water fountains, and showers. The lifeguard towers are spaced pretty good in this area of North Myrtle Beach. Several beach accesses are wood walkways that take you over the dunes avoiding the soft sand and some have wheelchair mats.
The Ocean Drive (OD) beach area stretches behind all kinds of resorts, condos, and private homes. There are some beachfront restaurants in this stretch of the beach and Main Street too.
Main Street offers lots of shopping and dining experiences. This entire area of North Myrtle Beach is a great place to vacation and live!
It can get windy so be prepared when putting up an umbrella. You can rent umbrellas and chairs.

walked on the beach and played football every morning we were there , the sand was packed so smooth and tight we had no trouble moving on the beach.

Ocean Drive is Home to some of the Best Carolina Beach Music Clubs including Fat Harold's Beach Club and the Spanish Galleon. Make plans to stay in OD when you visit for SOS, CBMA, and the OD Beach Music Festival in May

Perfect location for a beach stop. Close to shopping and area restaurants. Will be back again for yet another visit.

Ocean Drive is a very pretty, clean and safe area for all. There are dozens of drive up parking areas, free for locals, meter on premise for visitors. While it is nice to visit these beaches in the off season it is just too busy for me in season. I have my "secret" beach further north where it does not get overcrowded.

Nice beach, easily accessed, best for families with kids in the morning since the millennials show up around noon with their streaming radio. It was busy even in the morning, but there's enough room for everyone. Would be nice to know how to rent the umbrellas. A small pay-to-park lot provides access via the stairs.

We came to this beach as soon as we arrived in North Mytrle Beach. Had some time before our condo was ready.
The Beach is clean, nice and family friendly. We enjoyed or stan and will go back before we leave.
The grandkids had a fantastic time.

This is not a pretty beach. It has brown sand with a few shells and dirty, murky water. I prefer beaches on the gulf.

There are so many along Hwy.17. Try going to Calabash, NC just north, they have great seafood and deep sea fishing.

Hello, How is the Ocean Drive Beach resort. I want to stay 3 days in Myrtle beach without having to spend over 800 for hotel.
I read some good and bad reviews. Please be honest and recent stay.

We stayed at The Wyndham, Towers on the Grove Resort on Ocean Beach Blvd. All staff members were attentive and pleasant to interact with. Our unit was very nice with an ocean view. I hope this helps.
