Absolutely gorgeous. That hike tho. Trip advisor says "easy hike". That is a lie. Maybe easy for someone in shape but me and my old dog seriously considered jumping off the mountain the trail was uneven and hard on a person with limited abilities. I have liver disease and my old dog is over weight and 15 years old. We did not enjoy that walk. I'm pretty sure this trail is the one our parents walked to school uphill both ways.
If you can handle the hike tho, the falls are fantastic and as soon as the technology is invented so scotty can just beam me there I'd love to go again. It's worth it if you can handle the hike. The kids swam in a nice beachy area, some folks had grills they'd lugged up the mountain. Bless thier souls. A must see if you can handle the hike for sure.

This was a good mile hike. Getting to the falls is mostly downhill so getting back is mainly uphill. The falls is quite nice. There is a white sand beach at the falls so a picnic is possible.

Close to a 2 hour round-trip hike,approximately 2+ miles round trip.
The drop of the fall on the Chauga River is only 15 feet, but has an almost 100 foot span across the river. Beautiful setting with the huge boulders. Great beach, fun for the children to play in and for dogs to cool off.
Not very easy to find. You need to turn on Spy Rock Rd FS748 and take a one-lane gravel road, for about 1.7 miles, then it becomes a dirt road (FS748C). Just when you think you are lost, you will see the sign for the falls. Parking is on the side of Spy Rock Rd.
Someone built amazing Rock Cairns close to the river and among the stepping stones, quite a sight to see. The hike to the falls is pretty well down-hill, of course, the return is mostly uphill and more frequent stops had to be made. The path is narrow and winding for quite a stretch.

ok walk in, a bit far if you are toting stuff in or if you have small kids. Great beach area to swim with a sandy bottom. Rocks are slippery and I have seen many people slip and fall at the bottom of the falls. Throw sand on the rocks to help before exploring the falls. Can climb behind falls but it is a tight squeeze. One of my favorites to visit and swim for the day.

a nice day trip for the entire family. 1.5 mile hike in. Not too bad. swim hole was awesome. nice cold mountain water!!!

Once we found the site, it was worth the effort to get there. There are actually three ways to get there off of 76, and we were confused. The final section of the road was suitable for only a 4-wheel drive, but it was a very easy walk to the trail. The waterfall was really great because of all the recent rain.

Great cooling hole. We have been several times. It's a pretty good hike down to the falls but well worth it. Falls are pretty and there is a sandy beach that you can picnic on.

This is a pretty easy hike into the falls. It is more of a challenge to find it on the gravel road. There are signs along Cobb Bridge Road which will point you to the turn about 7 or 8 miles from Westminster downtown. Will only 12-20 feet high it is 100 feet wide and is considered a class 4 rapids. It has a nice sand beach and a pool to you can easily swim in. Perfect for even small children. You can park on the gravel road or drive closer to a parking area but be warned that to get to the lot you will need 4wd with a lot of clearance but not for the gravel road side parking. but a farther walk of about 2.4 miles round trip. GPS Waypoints Lat: 34.740917 Lon: -83.1795. Definitely worth the trip. Go and enjoy. Pictures to follow.

This is not a park but a hike in a secluded area. You will leave your vehicle on the roadside and hike the rest of the way.
