The only problem was locating the Zoo. There were no signs on Third St even though there was an entrance there. We had to rely. on GPS.
We did not know it was located within a City park.
The personnel were very helpful and friendly. Great place to enjoy a couple hours.

The Birmingham Al zoo usually gets a bad rap but in my opinion it is a much more fun zoo and has a much wider variety of animals than the Chattanooga zoo. Very disappointed!

Went on a weekend, very busy with little kids and a birthday party so hard to maneuver around. Good zoo for the size. A fee exhibits were closed but overall it was cute. Feeding the giraffe was fun. Definitely not a big zoo but fun for its size and not too expensive. Would recommend.

I Love the zoo. I began going as a volunteer but now just love going. I especially like feeding giraffes, alpacas, and camels - it’s an extra charge but worth it to me. They have various special events. When they expand its well thought out. Plus they have the highest zoo standards they can have!!

Make sure you call before you go. A lot of the exhibits were closed as well as the giraffe feeding and petting zoo. It had potential to be a cute place it just needs a little TLC.

We went for the Asian lantern festival. The lanterns are beautiful. It happened to be very cold the night we went, not sure if it had been warmer if the animals would have been out. It was still spectacular and I would highly recommend it.

Spent the visit with the family. Loved the petting zoo with the white goat that looks Lea selfies. The rest of the zoo was great. Will visit again.

Had a great experience at the Chattanooga zoo. Cute and not too big. We went with friends, fed the giraffes and watched all the animals in their zoo habitat. If anything, the ladies at the giraffe feeding area need to be a bit nicer to the patrons.

The animals here are beautiful! My husband and I went right at opening and got to see the giraffes. The zoo is not that big, but there are plenty of interesting animals to see like meerkats (very cute and active!), snakes, and different species of monkeys. There is a petting zoo with goats as well. The price was well worth the experience.

We went this past Saturday for a few hours. This was my second time visiting here. It’s small especially when compared to other zoos but it’s well maintained. They also have several unique animals I haven’t seen in other zoos. For little ones the train ride through the zoo is fun and they offer zoo giraffe feeding. And it was not crowded at all which was so nice. Definitely worth a stop!

Can you bring your own stroller (any size requirements) or do you have to rent one?

I saw many people with strollers. I don't think size is an issue. I did see twin size and single. As I previously posted, this is the sorriest zoo I have been to, and I have been to many. Hope you have a better appreciation then I do.

Most of it is sidewalk which is great for a wheelchair. There is a few things you can do that has stairs but most of it is sidewalk.

I went with My Wife's 1st grade class during the week and they did have Camel rides that day. This was in the early fall. I would just contact them to verify that they still do it if the weather is colder. Hope this helps.
