Definitely worth a visit. We parked quite a bit away at the local church and then walked straight up and along the path to St Bridget’s. Approx. 0.5mile. Was a nice walk and view is lovely.. There is a shorter walk where you park at St Colme Drive and cut through onto this path. Keep straight and head towards sea.
St Bridget’s itself is interesting and peaceful to visit, you can climb up onto the 2nd floor and there is an outbuilding where loved ones slept to avoid the buried from being snatched.
The views are stunning, if you follow little path down the outside, where the outbuilding is, you’ll find a secluded beach.
Be mindful there is a drop on approaching building and also from the graveyard towards the beach.

St Bridget’s Kirk is a beautifully sited ruined church on the Fife coast. It's been around since 1100s , but fell into ruin around the 19th century.
The ruins are maintained are in reasonably good condition. The aisles has some well preserved medieval elements and the loft remains in good enough condition that it's open for visitors to climb up and there's even two rooms in the upper part. A picturesque ruin especially as it sits on a hill overlooking the Fife coast.
If you're driving, google is a bit strange with the directions. I ended parking on St Colme Drive, then through Path of Gavin to the path that takes you towards the coast.

Beautiful ancient kirk with graves overlooking a beach set in woodland on the banks of the forth. Wont keep you occupied for the day but still worth a stop.

Nice hidden gem on the coastal path. Most people admire the views however there’s a path almost hidden in front of the graveyard to the water which leads to a few hidden beaches which are well worth a visit. A very peaceful place with great views to the water and some good history to boot.

Very well preserved church from the 12th century with amazing views. Lovely little beach below with some sand.

Located on the east side of Dalgety Bay on the shore over looking Edinburgh with a small beach beneath it. Watch out for the big drop. There is a small grave yard to explore as well as the church itself.
Apparently the small building adjacent to its walls is were the family members of recently deceased slept at nights to stop grave robbers, notabley Burk and Hare.
Another local story is a women in Gray can be seen walking down to the church and onwards to the remains of the pier before disappearing into the water.
Or so a local man told me, either way it adds to the site history
Well worth a visit if you are in the area

22C Temperature with just a hint of a breeze ,what perfect day for a walk along the coastal path to St Bridgets church . I usually park in the Sealstrand and walk from there but I have noticed paths running down from Moray Way South which are unmarked which would knock a few hundred yards off the walk . The tide is out and the views are spectacular . The walk takes us 15 minutes and St Bridgets is before us . What a stunning location for a church .The grounds are well kept by historic Scotland and there is no charge for entry .There are 2 levels to the church and the views are out to Edinburgh and to the west The forth bridges . There are a lot of really old and interesting gravestones in the churchyard . It is well worth the walk

This is not easy to find, and requires a walk along a wooded path, but it is well worth the effort. St Bridget's is a lonely spot, left alone a long time ago, so it's probably grateful for the odd visitor to happen along, the enjoy its charm and to remember it as it once was a long time ago.

Took the opportunity to visit St Bridgets Church . The closest I could get is parking at the end of Sealstrand . Its a Half mile walk on the Fife Coastal Path .Set looking out over the scenic vista of the Firth of Forth it is open all year, admission is free and run under the auspices of Historic Scotland .With a well maintained graveyard many stones are in the early 18th century .The Church is accessible on the ground and upper levels. The place was ceded to Inchcolm abbey 1170 . The path is not great for wheelchairs but on a dry day when the ground is firmer it might be ok
