I love this place. It’s 3 floors, each with a different bar, with different drink specials. The 3rd floor is a rooftop bar with nice views. The first floor has music every night. The staff of each was friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I stop in multiple times with each visit to Knoxville. Add all of that to the fact that there are lots of great places to eat in the vicinity, and I’m a happy camper.

Stopped in for a quick drink and to check out view from rooftop bar but never made it to the rooftop due to the great conversation and atmosphere of the 2nd floor Speak Easy. Both bartenders Kristen and Kenzie were phenomenal.

We came for the atmosphere. Loved the 3rd floor bar area. Decorated super cute and chill vibe. Reasonably priced drinks and friendly staff

If you’re looking for good service, this isn’t the place. Especially not on the second floor. Unless you’re one of the bartenders friend, you’ll stand there almost to the point of leaving. The pizza was great though.

I should have read the bad reviews on this Pub before we went.... $5 cover for what? There was a band on the first floor but it was crowded and smoke filled. We went to the rooftop to avoid the smoke, 1/2 the rooftop is no smoking but the service at the bar was so slow we left and went next door to the Crystal Room ($5 cover included both bars). The Mezzanine is a covered area overlooking the Preservation Pub rooftop, so we went back down to the bar on the first floor. We finally got a chance to order drinks but by that time we were tired of the hassel and left after 1 drink.

Kayla was a great bartender on the roof. Tom Collins is my new favorite classic cocktail thanks to her. The roof top is beautiful and fun. Great atmosphere.

In the heart of Knoxville’s Market Square Mall, Preservation Pub is a must-visit!
In a historic building with 3 levels (and a bar at each level), the rooftop bar is the pace to visit. Overlooking Market Square Mall and parts of downtown Knoxville, the people watching is exceptional.
Fans with misters make a sunny day very comfortable.
Great people - very friendly, courteous, and professional. You’ll feel right at home.

I paid my tab with my debit card and left a cash tip which was more than 20%. The next day I saw my card was changed more than I signed for. Beware of the thieves and only use cash. I tried contacting someone who works there and have yet to hear from anyone.

The atmosphere was inviting and the bar was very nostalgic with very knowledgeable and friendly bartenders. Awesome place for drinks while visiting Market square in Knoxville. Must try for the live music.

I've been wanting to try this place out since I read and article about the coolest cars in Knoxville. It definitely did not disappoint. 3 different looks on 3 different levels. 1st floor had a stage and live music playing, 2nd floor had more of a cozy,intimate vibe (booths & couches), and the top floor is a rooftop (fake) tree garden. Tables overlooking Market Square are hard to get, but we did manage to snag a table. The atmosphere was really neat. Just a couple of things to know: 1.) Cover charge is cash only 2.) Chairs at upstair tables are a bit snug and uncomfortable if you have larger hips,thighs,and butt. Would definitely go back.
