Excellent gardens well worth a visit all topped off with a cup of tea and a piece of walnut cake. The rhododendrons and azaleas were a delight the color and aroma was sublime

My first visit and I have been meaning to go for a while. Just caught the last of the rhodendrons. I haven't seen this many beautiful rhodendrons for many years. Stunning and a range of colours. The rain made the colours more vibrant. Good value entry fee £6 or 241 with Gardner's world card. Bluebells also looked lovely. Nice tea room with home made cakes.

We spotted this place in a local South Hams paper and decided to go. I have limited mobility so use a scooter, therefore no admittance charge for me. I did get to see a little but my wife went wandering and took lots of photos. We decided to have a cuppa and cake before leaving and very nice (tasted like homemade) piece of lemon drizzle cake. We will return many thanks

Great experience. We have a 2 for 1 gardeners world card and used it here but would have paid £6 entry each anyway. We really liked the lay out of garden and want to come back at a different time of year. There were some lovely Autumn colours when we went.Cafe is gerat.Loved the soup cake and coffee all very resonably priced.Very covid aware and plenty of hand sanitiser about and feltit all felt very safe

We walked in from Ivybridge Station, takes about 20 minutes. There is a small ticket office where you can get a walking guide of the gardens with there history.
The gardens are stunning, cascading waterfalls, ponds, autumn colours - bright red maples, golden leaves, vibrant greens. Quaint little bridges, moss covered walls - just lovely. Also has a lovely Tudor garden over looking a pond with views of the house and gardens.
Very peaceful. We stopped off at the end for tea and cake in their tea rooms - scrumptious!
In all a absolute delight.

A quiet, small valley garden with waterfalls and lakes. Some areas are more wild and/or under repair but the overall experience is very good with many alternative routes to follow. The early autumn colour was lovely.
The cafe was well organised with clear social distancing guidance. There is plenty of parking. Check opening times.

The most magical and enchanting gardens I have ever visited. Gushing streams fed by Dartmoor rush through the wooded valley, filling pools along the way. The stillness of the pols combined with the rush of the streams creates a repeated sense of excitement and discovery. The visitor's experience is enhanced by winding paths opening on to various views of the pools, waterfalls and bridges that cross the streams t various points. You are transported to many places in the imagination by this garden - at one point, peering through a thicket of bamboo, down on to a rocky waterfall, one could almost be in the jungles of south-east Asia. You may well visit better kept, more spectacular or more colourful gardens in England (the country is blessed with many) but you will never visit anywhere that so captures 'the genius of the place' as the garden design at Lukesland.

A lovely day out with family or friends. You can have a lovely hot drink and cake or if you are hungry the soup is Devine with generous servings of bread. It was vegetarian which suited me very well. I spent the whole day here, walked around all the gardens. It’s best in spring when the flowers are blooming. To walk around and see everything is pure bliss. You can even walk up from Ivybridge if you’re feeling fit, it’s abit hilly. £6 entry, to keep the place top notch. I would definitely go back.
