Great ferry, turned up very shortly after we arrived and swiftly carried us from Teignmouth to Shaldon. Plus, our captain had a seagul land on his head!

Good service! Very friendly chap running the ferry and a nice way to cross the bay. Good value too. Seemed to run very regularly.

The gentlemen powering the boat was very friendly and helpful. It was a fun way to get to and from Teignmouth from Shaldon.

What a lovely cheap crossing. Great friendly skipper. Polite helpful. Perfect for the job. Short journey, helped us on and off.

Staying in Sheldon, we went down to the beach for lunch, and spied the pedestrian ferry over to Teignmouth. After lunch we took the ferry over. £3 per adult. Seems to be very popular, nearly full for both trips. Just an open boat with seats round but quick trip over the estuary right to Teignmouth harbour short walk to beach and town

Seagull on ferryman’s head, delighted everyone on board , short trip too Shaldon and back again, lovely little journey , sea quite clear, lots of birds cruising around the harbours

Unlike the appalling ferry from Starcross to Exmouth (very rude staff) the Teignmouth to Shaldon ferry is delightful with pleasant staff and a lovely informal approach from beach to beach across the Teign Estuary. Cheap tickets. My only wish is that it could be a longer trip to enjoy more of the view.

Teignmouth Shaldon Ferry is a great way to travel between Teignmouth and Shaldon on a nice day. Only £2 per adult (each way). As it is a small ferry, its nice being close to the sea.

Very good ferry service between Teignmouth and Shaldon. Always good service with a good access ramp provided each end

a quick alternative to the bus,and far more frequent.crossing costs £2 per adult,one way but is interesting as you get a close up of all the boats and things going off in the harbour

Closest place to park to catch ferry on Shaldon side

Shaldon is a small village so parking is limited, there are limited spaces throughout the village it self and some quite close to the beach area.

Yes they put pushchairs in the middle of the boat and help you on/off with them.

Ohhh it may be a tiny bit tricky but as long as someone is there to help them it could be ok. Would be a shame to miss it, however by car the journey is only about 10 minutes.
